Objective
Presently I am a Union Journeyman Carpenter out of Local #174, Will County, Illinois. I am seeking employment and will be enrolling in a welding certification class. I believe that continuing my education in different aspects of construction leads to awareness, safe work practice and the ability to identify unsafe work conditions and the ability to correct them.

• During my employment at Lorig I started my second year of carpenters apprenticeship. This was my first year of bridge building. My tasks included form building, forming, such things as footings, columns, pier caps and retaining walls.

• During the short time I was with Adjustable I mostly erected and dismantled scaffolding for a high-rise building. I also got my first taste of concrete deck forming. I left Adjustable due to unsafe work conditions and to pursue bridge building

• During my employment at DPR Construction I encountered a wide variety of construction jobs. I started out in a Motorola plant installing metal studs and hanging drywall. I performed layout tasks for wall, door and window locations. After that I went into forming concrete slabs, tying rebar and hard trowel concrete finishing.

I attended Lakeland College on a partial Baseball Scholarship. My main focus was mandatory degree classes.
Providence Catholic High School, New Lenox, IL [8/90-5/94]
I took basic education courses and various elective courses to earn my High School Diploma. I played baseball and basketball throughout and was captain of each my junior and senior year.
Skills
I can utilize most construction tools efficiently. I excel in bridge building and concrete formwork. I am, however, very efficient in other basic construction areas. I adapt well to new methods of construction and if I lack any knowledge, I make up for it in the ability to learn quickly.
