Duties: Remove and handle hazardous chemicals and biochemical products by preparing items for shipment to various disposal locations. Monitor shipping processes by being attentive, listening, communicating (oral, reading, writing) basic problem solving and decision making reacting to problems that create immediate threats to personnel and equipment. Responsible for the maintenance and efficient use of chemicals, supplies, tools, equipment, and personnel in work area. Clean, sanitize, and ensure machinery, equipment, utilities, and other services are in safe working condition. Possess knowledge and understanding of cGMP/SOPs and work equipment. Work environments indoors and outdoors. Some areas have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne pathogens, noxious gases, other types of chemicals requiring usage of personal protective equipment e.g. safety glasses, ear plugs, rubber boots, gloves, protective suit, and mask. Assemble, install, test, repair and maintain electrical panels, outlet boxes, electrical fixtures, and appliances. Install ground leads, 3-phase wiring, underground wiring, and power cables to equipment, connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and fasten metal or plastic boxes to wall of house for 3-way or 4-way electrical switches or outlets. Measure, cut thread, bend, insert, splice, connect wires to fixtures, receptacles, and power source. Assemble and install conduits by placing inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and completing circuit between boxes by pulling insulated wire or cable through the conduit. Test electrical system, equipment, and continuity of circuits and fixtures using test devices such as ohmmeter, voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter, megger, and oscilloscopes, etc. to ensure compatibility and safety of system. Inspect and diagnose malfunctioning of system, apparatus, and components using test equipment to locate the cause and correct the problem, identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repair. Install rigid conduit, pull and terminate wire. Ensure systems and equipment is in compliance with Electrical and Safety codes. Use a variety of tools, shop equipment, measuring devices, power tools and hand tools, e.g. hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, conduit benders, saws, hydraulic tools, knives, and drills, to construct and fabricate parts to repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Work from ladders, scaffolds, platforms, roofs, and hard-to-reach places requiring standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing. Read and interprets blue prints, rough sketches, wire diagrams, and use formulas basic to the trade to figure such things as voltage and resistance.
