Leading Chief Petty Officer, Construction Master Chief 07/2001 – 12/2003
Directed a Public Works, multi-national workforce consisting of over 200 military and 160 civilian personnel; performed emergency services, building maintenance, new construction and facility repairs while maintaining a 600-piece support equipment and transportation yard, sewage treatment, water and power distribution plants.
· Rated as #1 of 3 Master Chiefs in command.

· Integral in creation and implementation of first, Seabee Combat Warfare Familiarization Program to prepare Seabees for warfare qualification before transferring to Naval Construction Force (NCF).

· Provided critical and decisive assistance in the provisions of technical and logistical support for recovery operations following the fatal crash of a CH-53 helicopter.

Oversaw all enlisted personnel assignments encompassing 600-person battalion. Oversaw all construction methods, manning, labor output embarkation, retrograde and other construction related issues surrounding contingency project/tasking and execution.
· Hand-picked to be Command Master Chief during C/MC’s extended medical absence.
· As part of 30-man Seabee Engineering Recon Team (SERT), led 18-man Bridge Erection detail in support of USMC Exercise Desert Scimitar 01; seamlessly integrated with 7th
· Executed set-up and break-down of 450 Roll-on/Roll-off ribbon bridging system across Colorado River; used by 465 vehicles and 2K+ personnel during exercise.
· As Operations Chief, developed a Battalion deployment organization and plan, assembled and directed appropriate teams to execute Guam/Pacific 2000/01 deployment culminating in safe and quality construction of 44 projects involving 30K direct man-days at main body site.
NAS Souda Bay, Crete
Senior Chief Petty Officer 07/1997 – 10/1998
Managed Public Works production involving new construction, building maintenance and repairs, quality control, safety for base-wide facilities and utilities projects within an operating budget of over $200K. Led 40 military personnel and 19 Local Nationals in completion of 16K man-hours
of tasking.
· Created and implemented “Emergency Action Plan†to improve manpower efficiency and minimize down time to critical facilities.
· Increased production and efficiency two-fold by optimizing personnel and material resources in completion of 15K man-hours of construction and facilities maintenance.
· Directed the construction of Automated Surface Observation System, an $80K project increasing NSA’s flight line operational capabilities.
Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes IL
Recruit Division Commander 06/1996 – 06/1997
Trained up to 88 recruits per division; accountable for their health, welfare and safety as Recruit Division Commander “C†School Instructor. Authored curriculum and instructed recruit division commands concerning training and leadership of recruits.
· Selected as Recruit Division Commander School Instructor from 510 Recruit Division Commanders; only offered to those division commanders who have demonstrated outstanding ability to train and lead recruits.
· Trained ten Recruit Division sending 880 Sailors to follow-on training and future fleet assignments; graduated with Battle “E†honors, for superior performance throughout competitive phase of recruit training.
· Designated as a Military Training Evaluator from 422 Recruit Division Commanders due to sustained training excellence in consistently producing “Honor†companies.
· Re-wrote key publication, Recruit Critique Instructor’s Guide, detailing how recruits may communicate quality of life concerns and recommendations for improved training.
