I am in my 11th year of my purchasing career. I have an Associates Degree in Architectural Drafting and Estimating from Dunwoody Institute. I worked 2 years in industrial construction for Fagen Inc out of Granite Falls, MN. I worked 4 years with Orrin Thompson Homes, now Lennar Corp. I have 3-1/2 years with Edward R James Homes. I am now working with a remodeling company
Through my previous work experience, I have developed a strong background in purchasing, estimating and project management. I would like to continue my career in the estimating, purchasing/project management field. We my many years of experience in all aspects of construction, I feel I would make an ideal selection for a position. I am available for employment anytime.

Fall 1999 Estimated cost from the footing to roofing and everything in between for commercial and high end residential projects. Some of my projects included new hotels projects for Carlson Companies in Tampa and Tucson, also the renovation of the old Federal Reserve Building in Minneapolis.

January 2004 Processed purchase orders for subcontractors and processed price requests for the sales consultants for about a year and a half. Then I entered into the contracts department where I negotiated and maintained contracts with subcontractors on a daily basis. I helped develop a streamlined contracting process for our company, and we were able to have solid plan costs to develop confident retail pricing before the first sale in a new community. I then reviewed monthly, each plan’s costs, to maintain the desired margins.

November 2004 Was in the process of developing a purchasing department. I started by creating general specifications, as well as the trade specifications. Then I created, with help of the company attorney, the general contract agreement along with a pricing addendum and marketing addendum. I also had an assistant that helped with processing purchase orders and with bid distribution.

April - 2008 Started with creating specifications, then proceeded with the bidding and buyout process. I negotiated pricing a scope of work, then produced the contracts with base pricing and option pricing as well. With the Option pricing I created a detailed “price book†for the homeowners to choose from. Then I would also bid and estimate custom quotes per the homeowners requests. Then managed the change order, purchase order, and variance change order paper work within our purchasing/accounting/construction/sales “Accuterm Systemâ€.
June 2008 - Sales/Estimator, Royale Crown Construction
Present I sell remodeling roofing, siding, basements, additions, windows, basically any type of remodel job. I meet with potential clients and sell them on the company’s qualifications and abilities. Once I have a sale, I create and the installation and material orders, and project manage the job to completion.
