RE: Senior Estimator/Preconstruction Manager Position
Dear Sir or Madame:
I would like to introduce myself for consideration of employment with your organization as Estimator/Preconstruction Manager position. As displayed on the attached resume and related documents, I have extensive experience in pre-construction management, including schematic, conceptual and hard bid estimating, Design/Build and Design/Bid/Build. I am extremely proficient with estimating self performed structural concrete, foundations, tilt up panels, concrete floors and site concrete, not to mention excavation, site utilities, etc.
I am proficient with a number of Excel based estimating programs, value engineering, cost study reports, financial status reports, Word Perfect, RokTek digitized quantity surveys, email and Internet based information resources. My strengths include accurate estimates and quantity surveys; assessing and resolving issues on schematic through construction documents; organizing and managing the pre-construction team to creatively address all issues of client satisfaction, budget constraints, schedule and construct-ability.
With respect to my extensive value engineering experience, I am both diligent and persistent, resulting in a high level of owner, designer and construction team satisfaction. Throughout my career, my projects have consistently resulted in high profitability due to my steadfast attention.
My satisfied clientele include not only the private sector, but local government, Corps of Engineers and General Services Administration as well.
I would welcome an opportunity to discuss the needs of your pre-construction department and how my experience and background may be beneficial to your organization.
Thank you for taking time from your busy schedule to review my attached resume, references and project portfolio.
Sincerely,
Jerry E. Lockamy
