Project Superintendent – Kunzik and Sara Construction - San Marcos, CA (2005-2008)
Oversaw field management for construction of $16M Nissan, Honda and Mazda/Hyundai automotive group. Adherence to tight schedule allowed for on-time completion and highly profitable project. Just completed managing construction for over $6M Lexus facility.
Project Superintendent – Roel Construction – Irvine CA (2003-2004)
Managed all aspects of building a $6.6M Premier Lexus Service and Parts facility. Collaborated with the client, architects and subcontractors in devising schedules and plans. Coordinated all vendors and suppliers to successfully control costs and maintain high quality standards.
Project Construction Manager – Makar Properties LLC – Newport Beach, CA (2000-2001)
Successfully completed the construction of the $250M St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort and Spa. Oversaw and coordinated schedules for general contractors in creating a world-class resort with high profile restaurants and facilities. Established and monitored budgets, schedules, contracts and change orders. Anticipated time delays and implemented remedies to maintain strict schedules. Ensured first-class quality of work while managing budgets. Supervised and provided on-site direction to staff.
Project Superintendent – Superior Technical Resources – Anaheim CA (1999-2001)
Directed construction for the Hollywood Back Lot section of the $1.4 Billion Disney’s California Adventure. Served as the Site Logistics Officer and coordinated the material and scheduling for up to 600 personnel. Acted as key liaison with architects, engineers, labor officials, purchasing staff, Disney representatives, sub-contractors, planners and inspectors. Ran several projects simultaneously. Tracked job costs and steadily brought jobs in under cost. Adhered to strict attention-to-detail and oversaw the construction of all buildings, walkways, landscaping as well as underground utilities.
Project Superintendent – The Austin Company – Renton, WA (1995-1999)
Interacted closely with architects and engineers in the design phase and eventual construction of facilities for Southern California Edison. Conducted a detailed analysis of costs of material and labor to determine project feasibility. Oversaw the entire project from the initial planning to the successful completion. Managed the $42M project for the California State Prison in Corcoran, CA. The project consisted of nine support buildings and extensive infrastructure.
Project Superintendent – Snyder Langston – Irvine CA (1997)
Completed several diverse projects including a 3.2-acre site for Bauer Jaguar with 32,000-s.f. facility and an 83,000-s.f. Mercedes Benz dealership in Laguna Niguel, CA.
Project Superintendent – McClier – Los Angeles, CA (1995-1996)
Oversaw a high profile 400,000-s.f. major renovation and seismic upgrade project for Bank of America at their downtown Los Angeles location. Supervised multi-floor build outs with LAN/NER rooms, a new trading room and upgraded existing facilities. Scheduled personnel, handled problem quickly and efficiently. Followed all specifications and building codes per plan.
Project Superintendent – J.J.S Construction – Santa Ana, CA (1995)
Supervised the construction of the 31,000-s.f. headquarters for the Austin Company. Interfaced with architects in all phases to successfully design and construct office space, executive offices and public facilities.
Project Superintendent – Koll Construction – Seal Beach, CA
Organized the construction of a wide variety of projects that included a major renovation and seismic upgrade to Wescorp’s 100,000-s.f. corporate headquarters; Class A tenant improvements, seismic upgrades, on and off-site work. Constructed a $2M, 40,000-s.f. high technology center for Apple Computer. Handled major infrastructure project for City of Irvine. (1990–1995)
Project Superintendent – Birtcher Construction – Laguna Niguel, CA (1980-1988)
Built a 73,000-s.f. printing plant and a 43,000-s.f. facility for McDonnell Douglas. Ensured all requirements were in order to begin each project. Interacted with Cal OSHA, verified and approved prints and set pre-construction meetings.(1988–1990)
