Dear Sir or Madam:
I am seeking a superintendent position in the construction field. For the past twelve years I have been employed by Blinderman Construction as their General Superintendent/Safety Director. I was responsible for hiring and assigning both superintendents and field personnel to their respective projects. It was a fast paced company that gave me the opportunity to see first hand the challenges of this type of construction. When starting with Blinderman I began as a carpenter and rapidly worked my way up to General Superintendent. I am proud to say that it is work I grew to enjoy and earned a high level of respect amongst staff as well as business associates.
As Safety Director I was responsible for changing the whole company’s safety culture. Such as instituting daily pre task analysis and a stretch and flex program to help prevent soft tissue injuries. I am proud to say that during my tenure at Blinderman there were no lost time accidents, and a reduction in there EMR from .98 to .71.
After hearing about your company I know that it would be a good fit for my experience and knowledge in this field. At this time of my life relocation is a definite possibility and I would look forward to hearing about both opportunities here and elsewhere. I look forward to hearing from you to schedule a personal interview.
Sincerely,
Objective Employment as a Construction Superintendent
