Hired specifically to help with the Orange Line for DART. Duties include managing all subcontractors for the stations along the Orange Line, a portion of a $430M dollar project. Assist Construction Manager in all phases of operations, including but not limited to: soliciting bids, scope for subcontractors, writing contracts, administering contracts, managing field work, in charge of all Texas Accessibility Standards processes, managing a portion of submittals, submitting and verifying quality plans, safety plans, Kiewit Work Plans (including Job Hazard Analysis plans) and doing constructability reviews for this design/build project.
• DART Orange Line – 9.5 miles of light rail, six (6) stations and two (2) deferred stations.
Opus West Construction Corporation Addison, TX
Project Manager 2007 - 2008
Project management duties in a design/build firm. Duties ranged from pro-forma of project, conceptual estimating, actual estimating, buy out process, construction process, and close out. Led a team of architects, engineers, and field personnel. Responsible for design decisions, specification writing, composing bid packages, writing contracts, managing subcontractors, developing schedules, drawing review, managing submittals, leading design and subcontractor meetings, and on-going safety reviews. Financial responsibilities included set up of budget, managing budget, financial projections, and margin reviews.
• Regent Center II – Ground up two story, 58,000 sf shell office building with lobby finish out; budget $5M. This fast track project was finished on schedule and under budget.

Start up of millwork company supporting commercial and residential projects. Duties ranged from business set-up, financials, estimating, marketing, submitting bids, customer service, scheduling, and design work. Projects included:
• First National Bank (Austin, TX) – Complete millwork package including fabrication, installation, and design.
• Kidney Dialysis Center (Killen, TX) – Millwork including coordination with medical equipment.

Construction management of general contractors for the DART light rail system. Duties included issuing task orders, providing field support to inspectors, and assisting Resident Engineer with bids, submittals, as-builts, and pay applications. Task orders generally required extremely fast execution to satisfy CO’s for station openings. Upon project close-out, was one of a few employees selected to stay and complete Miscellaneous Contract and close-out duties. Promoted from Assistant Office Engineer/Asst Project Manager to Office Engineer/Project Manager in 2002.
