Summary Statement-
I am the person to hire when growing a company is more important that filling a position. I managed the ground up construction of medical and dental clincs, commercial strips and multi story, multi user buildings. I have always looked to increase my knowledge and increase the value I give to the company that I am working for. I am looking for a company that I can grow with, a company that is open to ideas and company with a strong concept of where they want to be in the future. With my abilities and a strong corporate culture we will both be successful.
Core Competencies
Management skills-
• I managed the fastest built store in ALDI Foods history. From the initial survey to first shopper down the check out lane, the store took 114 days to complete.
• I expedited the build out of a Citifinancial to allow for the owners equipment to be delivered on time. The total build out time was two weeks. We worked nights and weekends to accommodate the timeframe.
• I read and evaluate plans and specifications. I estimated over 500 projects a year while with Les Jones Roofing. In doing that I created my own software to speed the material order and vendor detail processes up. I have always looked for ways that I can make my team members more efficient.
• I quantify and qualify proposals from vendors. I have to be able to see when a vendor is straying from the specifications and plans. In one dental facility each plumbing vendor’s bid was different and there was not a good base specification to work with so working with the owner we set a baseline and drove pricing down.
• I write detailed proposals; develop pre-budgets, schedules and timelines. I am exacting in this because every minute of preplanning shave so much time off the project schedule. I work closely with superintendents and other personnel to know the day to day abilities of our company our vendors.
• I coordinate efforts to meet bid deadlines for bids. I take the lead in making the pieces of a bid come together. I delegate to build a better team. The more responsibility and praise I can give out the more that employee will take ownership in their career.
• I value engineered for clients with a percent of savings negotiated for our company profit. I made the vendors think outside the box to deliver “green solutionsâ€, less expensive solutions, solutions with more options, and solutions that sped up the timeframe.
• Conflict resolution – I negotiated with vendors, engineers, government officials, and internal employees to resolve issues that arose. I did not always meet in the middle. In order resolve issues information and dates and times is integral. I kept a log on an excel spreadsheet for each project that I was working on. I was able to positively affect the bottom line but logging pertinent calls emails and conversations. Often I found that conflict arose from misinformation early in the project. I push for early prejobs, I really benefited from every minute used in a prejob.
Coordination skills
• Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook skills - I am skilled with all of these formats
• EDGE estimating software trained
• Scheduled 40+ employees on separate teams to multiple sites for peak efficiency
• Scheduled multiple vendors from start to completion and kept the tight timeframes set by clients
• I manage a contact list of several hundred vendors to establish a strong bid base and quality pricing from vendors.
Sales Skills
• Developed a customer and contractor base from which I was estimating 500 projects a year.
• Coordinated assistants and project managers to ensure work was being completed in a timely manner. Kept backlogs low.
• Worked with homeowners and business owners alike to determine need and enrich product knowledge.
• Tracked job performance to find where work and production techniques were working well and found the problems in the systems that were not working well. Implemented a pre job system that alleviated many of the issues.
Operation skills
• Hiring and training of staff; seasonal hiring for labor and screening and hiring of sales staff and administrative staff.
• Time off approvals and scheduling; coordinate scheduling of office and field staff to eliminate shorted crews and ineffective work days.
• Safety Training-previously OSHA trained, conducted toolbox talks, site inspections and evaluations.
• Tool Equipment lockout/checkout-small and large tools and equipment.
• Created and kept vehicle and trailer maintenance logs-
• Billing- Payables and receivables (QuickBooks) - I coded all `payables and invoiced on receivables.
• Customer service- phone answering on multi line Cisco system. Handled billing questions.
*I have been put in operations roles at every company that I work at because I make teams better and companies function more efficiently. People come to rely on me to be there to help when help is needed. I also know not to always give people the answers but to show them how to get the answers for themselves.

• Civil work: Corner Kick Soccer: 4 acre site prep for full size indoor soccer field, excavated, and installed utilities. ($700,000 in site prep)
