• Interviewed, bid then hired and managed outside architects, engineers and union contractors for all new and remodeled construction projects.
• Successfully negotiated 71 new (and remodel) restaurant and retail locations in three years. Annual budgeted expenditures $97 Million.
• Designed unique restaurants, some with bars, and retail facilities achieving profit and budget requirements. Several projects included national retail brands such as: Burger King, Starbucks, Chili’s Too, Jose Cuervo Tequileria Restaurant, Johnston and Murphy Shoe Co., Subway, Max and Erma’s Fox Sports, Fox News and Pizza Hut.
• Effectively planned, organized and led a team of professionals in delivering a $53 million renovation within the Minneapolis airport during 2 year period.

During this sixteen year period, performed as construction and project manager reporting to senior regional leadership, while based in Oklahoma City, Boca Raton, and Detroit at various times during this period.

• Created new McDonald’s combination restaurant with both Drive-In and Drive Thru service. Developed new design with team of internal and external professionals in architecture, operations and engineering.
• Spearheaded design of a new small town prototype design with franchisees, McDonald’s Corporate architecture department and kitchen design professionals. This design was replicated by McDonald’s several hundred times throughout United States.
• Effectively managed and led construction teams in Oklahoma, then Michigan, including project managers, construction coordinators, and architects.
• Created new McDonald’s project management guidelines for new restaurant development. Designed new estimating software used by McDonald’s in Wal-Mart, along with freestanding restaurant projects throughout the company.
