Relocate to Utah or Arizona, and find gainful employment that will allow me to contribute to the success of others, and further develop my abilities and skills.
Introduction;
For the past ten years I have owned and managed a small construction Design/Build construction company in the Mid-Willamette valley in Oregon that has focused mostly in residential construction with some light commercial building. I have designed, managed, and completed many projects ranging from additions and remodels, to commercial capital improvement projects. Having been a business owner I understand the importance of effective communications and information flow, the inner drive that it takes to be successful, and the need for employees that will represent the owner’s values and interest.
In addition to my construction experience, I also have a Business Management degree from Oregon State University where I minored in Construction Engineering Management. Both the Business Management and the Construction Engineering Management courses helped to refine and define my skills as a manager. I was exposed to and completed courses such as Project Management, Managing Delivery Systems in Construction Facilities, and others. These courses helped to balance my experience with educational merits. Combining my construction background and my management abilities developed thru experience and education, have prepared me to effectively manage and lead projects.
