I spent several years in the Information Technology field, dealing primarily with automated warehouse systems for production supply, manufacturing supply, and light directed pick systems for order fulfillment and inventory
management. This work required considerable travel and direct customer contact, utilizing my abilities to perform independently, as well as the leader or a member of a project team in various industries and environments.
I'm outgoing, observant, and a quick study, able to communicate well in the boardroom or on the shop floor. These traits, when combined with my technical training and many years of field experience, give me the capability to "hit the ground running" in most any situation. I've developed skills that enable me to achieve desired results despite obstacles or adverse conditions, and gained a reputation to succeed with the most difficult customers or to turn errant projects "back toward home".
I have to my credit successfully completed projects with companies such as Boeing North America, Johnson & Johnson Orthotics Division, Federal Mogul/FelPro, Lowes Home Improvements Corporation, and Levi-Strauss Inc.
I shifted focus to other career opportunities several years ago, concentrating on the transportation and the construction/service industries, where I have had substantial past experience. Positions available in my area of the
Information Technology field require extensive national/international travel and/or relocation, which do not appeal to me at this time.
I am experienced in the construction industry from design and drafting to new construction, building repair and remodeling including plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems maintenance and several hundreds of hours operating
various equipment. I have held positions as a general contractor, project coordinator, multi-site supervisor and crew leader on numerous types of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial.
I hope to secure a new position where I can apply my diverse skills and experience, which presents opportunities for continued progress and growth both technically and personally.
Sincerely,
Larry Cooper
