Health Safety and Environmental Supervisor (HSE)
As an HSE Supervisor, responsible for overall implementation of Military Corporate Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and guidelines, Updates to the Site Specific Health & Safety Plan (SSHP), Hazard Communication Program also known as HAZCOM or Right-to-Know, Emergency Response Team (ERT), Coordination of First Responders training and the Spill Prevention, and Countermeasure Plan (SPCC) and monitoring and reporting on safety compliance issues of personnel and subcontracting operations throughout Camp. Conduct safety inspections and monitoring of equipment, work areas, and overall work practices and procedures for compliance with established environmental health and safety rules, regulations, and policies. Responsible for thorough investigation and reporting of all accidents/incidents such as motor vehicle accident, traffic violations, damages to government and Company property, work related injuries, investigation of near misses, and any other workplace related safety hazards as they relate to personnel safety. Responsible for posting safety guidelines, preparation of weekly safety bulletins, weekly tool box meetings, maintenance of the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) program, validation of motor vehicle driver licenses, driver safety training, Company wide and departmental updates and announcements, weekly Total Safety Task Instruction training (TSTI), conduct specific training in other technical areas as required, in-processing safety briefs for new hires as well as conducting daily environmental health and safety morning briefings. Supervise and implement proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials, monitoring compliance of chemical rooms, hazardous waste staging areas, and satellite collection point areas, dumpsite, burn pits, leach fields and maintains hazardous waste manifesting and profiles. Also responsible for the emergency response involving hazardous materials, and building emergencies in an on-call basis. Oversight of Hazmat operations with respect to the general maintenance of the site chemical Hazardous Materials Identification System (HMIS®) safety labeling programs for hazardous and non-hazardous materials. In charge of operation and maintenance, and calibration of Environmental, Health, and Safety monitoring and testing equipment, recording data and assisting other department such as construction, vector control, electrical, plumbing, power generation and heavy equipment operators in acquiring appropriate regulatory information in establishing safety guidelines relating to their specific programs and contractual requirements with respect to the applicable Federal, State and Local regulations.
