Complete hands-on estimating, program & project management of both new construction and overbuilds of telecommunications and data center facilities and infrastructure. Beginning with client solicitation; aided clients in developing an RFP, or responded to those already developed. Established initial budgets and schedules. Pre-surveyed and staged all project phases, from utility location and capacities to permitting times and costs. All project costs were derived/budgeted and a comprehensive schedule was then created from the beginning, allowing for a “no surprises†project, which meant always on time and under budget.
Supervised and altered A&E design process as necessary to ensure the best design for use, in coherence with the project budgets. Managed all phases of construction through the commissioning and warranty phases. Projects included both concrete and steel facilities, both large and small, as well as tower construction for wireless radio nodes and microwave relay sites. Completed a concrete tilt-up switch site in the Sacramento, California area, which began 3 months behind schedule, on time and under budget. This was accomplished during the El Niño winter, with a total of 59 contractual rain delay days, which extended the contractual completion date of the project by that amount of time, but which we did not need to utilize.
Developed new training program for Assistant Project Managers and Superintendents. Responsible for hiring new Project Managers, Superintendents and project field administrative personnel. Trained new personnel on site. Worked both domestically and internationally.
