Re: Construction Manager
Please find enclosed a copy of my resume.
Involvement in all phases of the construction industry has developed my career. I have worked on commercial, heavy industrial, government building projects, large site and underground utility projects. I feel my past experience, ability to successfully complete projects, on time, within cost, are my strongest assets.
As an Owners Agent, I directed the construction of several Design/Build projects. I managed these projects from the owners’ idea through completion.
Listed below are some other projects I have been involved with;
Fort Detrick Germ Warfare Building, Fort Detrick, MD
Aids Research Building, Fort Detrick MD
Renovation of Bldgs 467, 468, 469 – Molecular Oncology Lab. Ft Detrick, MD
NIH, Bethesda, MD. Renovation of Bldg. 8 (underpinning of the existing 4 story building, adding a new basement floor and the addition of a fifth floor structural slab) and Bldg. 8A, the addition of a new five story, structural concrete Bldg.
Renovation and Widening of Rt. 28 Bridge [at] Rt. 270
New Middlebrook Road Bridge [at] Rt. 270
Emergency repair of the Rt. 11 Bridge [at] Potomac River
NSA Computer Vault Facility, 12,000 sq ft SOG, underground structural walls and roof, Fort Meade
Project Manager for the Hydro-Acoustical Facility, underwater weapon testing lab, NOL, White Oak, MD
Project Manager for the : USPS, Main Distribution Center, Loading Dock Expansion, Washington, DC. This project consisted of 1600 lf of loading dock extension. Ceiling height was 20 vf.. The building had to be shored while the 70 existing columns were removed and the needling of 40 foot long beams into the existing building, to be supported by 70 new poured in place columns (ea. with caisson). Plus 32,000 sq ft of interior SOG, 50,000 sq ft of concrete paving. All of this work was performed while keeping the Post Office Facility open 24 hours per day.
Note: Just finished a project at Andrews Air force Base. This project consisted of the Structural Renovation of an existing building (Building 3422). This facility houses the medical equipment repair group (PMI) that handles all equipment from the war zones. Due to a failure of a wood truss (open span wood truss design from 1946) the roof had to be reinforced with new steel trusses (as high as 30vf) and steel channels (40 total tons of structural steel), with 21 new spread footing foundations. The project also included the demolition and replacement of the office area with all the finishes. By completing this project in phases, we were able to keep the daily operation of PMI working while our work was performed. Finished the project on time even with the lost time due to the snow. On the finial inspection there was no punch list items. Visit Personal Website
