Whilst living in Nelspruit and working full time, I coordinated/supervised and managed the construction of my own 5277 SF house and an infinity swimming pool. I meet with the Architect and played a mayor role in the design and layout of the house. In order to be allowed to build the house I had to write and pass the National Home Builders Registration Council exams, which enabled me to start and register my own construction company. The project entailed submitting and getting the building plans approved by relevant building authorities, liaising with the engineer, obtaining labor quotes, negotiating cost with sub- contractors and purchasing of all materials.
