February 2008 Manage the day to day operation of the company. As manager, I assisted in preparation of bids, reviewed financials and billings, was in charge of all human resource matters, scheduling, and budgeting.
2004-2007 Project Manager, Asphalt Paving & Supply (AZ)
Management of various municipal and commercial construction projects in the Prescott, AZ area. Duties include preparing subcontracts, scheduling subcontractors, processing change orders, tracking job costs, as-built drawings and invoicing completed projects.
2001-2004 Public Works Inspector, Town of Prescott Valley Public Works (AZ)
Inspecting of public and private municipal construction projects, including subdivision development, utility installations, roadway improvements, and public park construction.
1996-2001 Engineering Technician II, County of Humboldt Land Use Department (CA)
Within County ordinances and State codes I permitted and inspected all construction activities conducted within the public right of way. Most projects required continuous field monitoring and inspection. My duties also included the issuance of transportation and special event permits.
1992-1996 Cadastral Draftsman, County of Humboldt Assessor’s Office (CA)
Transferring parcel maps and records of survey information to the original Assessor’s plat maps, verifying legal descriptions and deeds.
1990-1992 Senior Draftsman, Oscar Larson and Associates
The majority of the drafting performed for this company was CAD (AutoCad). The drafting tasks mainly emphasized mapping and subdivision layout and design. Other projects included building elevations, facility layout, and the creating of a CAD-generated civil and construction library.
1989-1990 Senior Draftsman, Louisiana Pacific Pulp Mill
Duties included creating field take-off drawings for a large portion of the mill’s piping and producing P&ID diagrams. Responsible for creating and maintaining the files for drawing documentation, equipment records, and instrumentation.
1988-1989 Lead Carpenter, Resco Construction
Lead carpenter for the renovation of two commercial buildings and other various job sites.
1986-1988 Swing Shift Drafting Manager, Engineering Resources Incorporated
Position included assigning and checking work, and records management. All work was under contract from the United States Department of Defense. Tasks involved PCB design and layout, electrical schematics, and mechanical detailing.
1982-Present Various Construction Positions
Assistant Job Superintendent for Pilot Construction in Dallas, Texas. I have worked on the remodel of a number of houses and apartment buildings, and new commercial buildings from foundation to finish carpentry. Recently I completed the construction of my own home.
