Construction site management of new and existing industrial projects: compressor stations, oil refinery work and pipeline site work. Responsible for: job estimating and planning; contracts negotiation; collaboration and negotiation of RFI’s ; re-design and cost change orders; supervision of safety and quality control personnel and issues.
• Port Arthur Valero, Port Arthur, Tx., 6 million dollar project, 30 employees . Project consisted of onsite design, construction, field fabrication and tie in of 16, 000 feet of 42†HD plastic pipeline, 4000 feet across their cooling water reservoir. Project was scheduled for 42 days as part of hurricane Ike emergency recovery efforts. Completed 23 days ahead of schedule.
• Williams Refinery Koch Partners, Wynnewood Ok., 7 million dollar project, 80 employees. New diesel hydrotreater unit . Project consisted of new construction and installation of new piping, equipment and vessels, foundations for rotating equipment, fin fans, boilers, heat exchangers, instrumentation and complete overhaul of electrical components in unit.
• Conoco Phillips, Borger Texas, 20 million dollar project, 150 employees. This project consisted of a new coke unit including piping, equipment, vessels, pipe racks , concrete and structural steel , boilers and heaters .
• Valero McKee Refinery, Dumas Texas, 60 million dollar project, 200 employees .Project consisted of rehabilitation of existing ammonia unit, including removing catalyst, tunneling vessels, testing of all heaters and heat exchangers. Testing integrity of existing equipment new piping motors and screw compressors.
• Valero McKee Refinery, Dumas Texas, 100 employees. Managed implementation of OSHA site specific safety requirements for McKee plant. Overhaul platforms, ladders and handrails to meet code. Address instrumentation and electrical issues for entire plant under maintenance contract.
• Atlas Pipeline, Graham, Ok., and Comanche, Ok. Compressor station projects consisted of fabrication, installation and tie in of 20†underground pipe, open cut, trenching, concrete pads, setting of equipment, all piping, including glycol unit and clean burn fuel skids, pig launchers and receivers meter runs.

Construction site management of new gas plant for Quicksilver Gas. Responsible for quality control personnel and issues, billing, safety, RFI execution, change orders and overall site management.
• Quicksilver Gas Plant , Glen rose Texas, 12 million dollar project, 40 employees. Project consisted of site work, pads for compressors, set 12 cat compressors, all piping, co- lesser glycol units, build finger storage and slug catcher, set pig launcher and catchers, make all hot taps and tie-ins to existing main lines, set all metering units, oversee sub-contractors for facility buildings, build all pipe rack runs, and lay 12,000 feet of 20 inch pipe. Finished project under budget with no incidents.

Negotiating change orders and devising strategies to resolve conflicts within this scope of work. Submittals, RFI’s, contract changes and public relations with client and community.
• Houston Co. Water Authority , Houston Texas, 17 million dollar project, 60 employees. Fresh water distribution line, 36†to 54â€, northwest steel pipe. Project consisted of underground piping, (average depth 20 ft.). Extensive concrete paving, boring, and tie-ins on existing lines. This project had several large tunnels that were several hundred feet long. Accomplished with a tunnel boring machine and hand mining with ring beam and lagging. Concrete paving curbs, water line vaults with valves and fixtures and extensive traffic control. Project completed on schedule with zero incidents.

I moved to Tool Pusher and eventually Rig Supervisor with 20 crews under my supervision.
