Being a third generation construction worker, my project experience is extremely rounded from the many years (40), beginning in the carpentry trade. Having grown up “through the ranksâ€, so to speak, starting as a Laborer in 1968 after graduating high school, to training as a Carpenter, to Foreman Lead and then to Superintendent. I find fulfillment in starting and completing construction projects on time and on or under budget. A task done once, and done correctly, is mantra best fitting me.
My safety record is exemplary. There have been no “fatals†or “near missesâ€. Safety, above all is implemented on all jobs. I also have extended training through OSHA, (for correct procedures in scaffolding, trenching, PPE, railing and cabling for fall protection, as well as HAZCOM-MSDS. Approximately 50 hours.)
I have completed training and have knowledge in MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, Sure Trac, Time Management, and Primavera Expedition. I have been processing all correspondence on a laptop computer since 1995. In addition I have taken leadership training courses from 2000-2002 (twice per month over an 18 month period) from Professional Management Training, in Portland Oregon. These courses ranged from:
• Essential communication skills
• Task focusing & Interaction with other key management positions and general employees
• Advocating for Partnering and Partnering agendas. Updating schedules, time lines, and labor reports. Focus in “Partnering Meetings†with owners, sub-contractors and suppliers.
I am of sound health and willing to travel. I am looking for a quality company with sound business expertise, high ethics similar to my own (committed, honest, high integrity, vision for the future, diversified).
Expected salary ranges from $100K to $120K or equivalent to cost of living in area, company truck (expenses and insurance), and medical/dental insurance for self and spouse of 34 years.
