• Underground ductbanks and manholes, including layout and installation.
• Installation of cable - all types.
• Read and understand schematic wiring diagrams. Design and install a working system, including fire alarm, motor controls, HVAC controls, train controls, traffic signal controls.
• Work in commercial office buildings, residential buildings, industrial production facilities, and electrical power generating plants. On municipal projects - sidewalks and streets, water and waste water treatment plants, airports, and on the Metro Subway.
• Provide maintenance and trouble shooting using multi-meter test equipment.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assign duties.
• Supervise and manage workers. Train new workers.
• Estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
• Coordinate production schedules between various trades.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Demonstrate effective leadership and encourage team concepts.
• Consult with clients to determine their needs and priorities.
• Demonstrate skillful communication and negotiation skills.
