My name is Anthony Portela and I am a project superintendent. I have been in this industry all my working life and truly love what I do. I believe success of a project comes through a thoroughly thought out plan to progress the project consisting of trade coordination, procurement securing and teamwork on everyone’s part. I plan the work and then I work the plan.
I am extremely well versed in MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook. I am also well versed in CAD (computer aided design) and this proves an invaluable asset in dealing with project architects and engineers.
While supervising a project I feel it most important to look for ways to initiate cost and time savings through means and methods. This is why I have been successful throughout my 32 years in the industry. I turn the project on time adhering to detail and quality throughout the construction process. This assures minimal or no punchlist items at project end.
With regards to safety training, I hold my OSHA 30 and I also have my S-92 Certificate of Fitness issued by the FDNY.
My references include some of the best known architects, construction managers and construction directors throughout the industry. I will be happy to send you a complete list of references should you request me to do so.
I have attached my resume. I thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Anthony Portela

CLOSING STATEMENTS
As I stated in the “Summary of Qualifications” paragraph, I am very well versed in the use of CAD. This has proven to be invaluable as both cost effective to the client and in terms of expediting a project quickly. By being able to communicate with an architect and/or designer in their own language via CAD, I can communicate quickly and effectively any discrepancies, field conditions, etc. which may affect design intent as well as propose viable solutions at the same time. This reduces site visits by the architect/designer to review the situation thus reducing additional cost from the architect/designer for site visits and redesign cost.
There are many architectural firms I have worked with over the years who will constantly request me for their projects due to not only my CAD abilities, but also to three all important things that I believe are key to project success:
• Understanding design intent and paying attention to detail.
• Coordination and utilization of trades in an effective, safe and well planned manner with a constant movement forward towards project completion with little or no punchlist items at turnover
• Keeping client expectations and quality standards at the forefront while delivering a complete and thorough project in the given timeframe by driving schedule.
I thank you for your time in reviewing my resume. I feel that I could be a valuable asset to your organization.
Sincerely,
Anthony Portela
