Project Supervisor for the 323A site upgrade. (Union Supplied Employment)
Worked for Malcon Industrial Controls as a foreman installing, testing, calibrating and integrating all controls for the new 323 annex chip making facility. Work also included support system control upgrades such as: Boiler #3 controls, chiller #12, heat exchangers, air handler units, chemical lift stations, carbon, acid, base, and solvent abatement, municipal water station, sewerage treatment, toxic gas systems, high pressure compressed air and system flow monitoring throughout the site.
All systems were monitored through plc's(programmable logic systems) and information was transferred through Mod-bus+ datta networking. these PLC's use analog inputs, analog outputs, digital inputs and outputs also. Some required subnetworks which involved Magellis networking. Other networks were monitored through Ethernet and Cytech sub network systems.
Instrumentation used were Ashcroft micro switches,Automax pneumatic motors, Peaktronics damper actuators, Drexelbrooks sonic transmitters, Fisher valve actuators, Foxboro Temperature transmitters, Dwyer pressure switches, Gems liquid level indicators, Honneywell PH monitors, Rosemount Smart pressure and temperature transmitters, Penn pressure switches and GE/Panemetrics Flow transmitters. work on these devices also included calibration prior to start-up.
