Experienced Senior Project Superintendent with a continuous record of accomplishment while Managing numerous $100 Million to $1 Billion plus projects – delivering them on time or ahead of Schedule. One of the few “old school†Hotel-Casino experts still around.

Retain a General Contractor’s License in California and Nevada. One of six contractors involved in the rewrite of the California State Contractor’s License Examination. Journeyman Carpenter with other expertise in concrete, structural steel, mechanical and finish-out. Registered with the State of New York for special high-rise fires.

ACCOMPLISHMENT OVERVIEW
Metcalf Builders, Inc. 2/07 – 2/09
Hired as a senior project Superintendent to run a Fandango Casino and Galaxy Theater remodel and new theater in Carson City valued at 30 Million and after the completion moved in to build two Holiday Inn Express, 1 in Reno NV and the other in Minden NV. For the same owner. Both jobs completed ahead of schedule and in Budget. Reason for being let go was the newest employee and the economy is bad at this time
Duties: General /Sr. Project Superintendent. Project Value $30 Million
Supervised: 2 Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineer, and the Safety Department, Was involved in creating Baseline Schedule along with monthly updates and 3 Week look ahead, supervised and coordinated field operations, Attended safety meetings with SCATS and OSHA. The most difficult part of the project was a Sky bridge over a major street connecting the Galaxy Theater to Fandango Casino.
EXECUTIVE HOME BUILDERS, INC. 8/06 – 12/06
Hired as a General Superintendent assigned focus on construction management, i.e., oversee sub-contractor Performance to a “white shell†stage then performs building finishes. Worked with the “design team†to accomplish Finishes.
Duties: General Superintendent. Project Value $275 Million
This project was as owner’s representative to oversee the worked preformed by the General Contractor and to be involved with the Quality Control of their work involved. Reason for dismissal was new management came in and cleaned house.

Focused on estimating, buyouts, and design issues with architects and Streamline Towers Project, Las Vegas NV
Engineers for the Streamline Towers (residential condominium) Project in Las Vegas. The project did not Materialized as originally planned. because of financing issues. Responsible for providing practical, hands-on Experience input to the total planning effort was also involved in the pre-design phase of the project. Move over to Boca Raton to supervise that project became interactive with the owners over problems created by previous supervision. Moved job back on track. In Jan, 06 My wife had a heart attack and had to take a leave of absents from the company, when I came back in Aug 06 they had replaced my position.
HUNT CONSTRUCTION GROUP, San Antonio TX 8/00-12/04
Turning Stone Casino Resort, Verona, New York June 2003 to December 2004
Multi-Purpose Event Center, 20 Story Hotel, & Winter Garden Entry Along with Casino Remodel on Existing Job Site. Project consists of a new 22-story hotel, 3-story event center with 6500 person seating, and a new winter garden entry with 100,000 sq ft addition to the casino and restaurant, and new Porta Cachire at new entry (ongoing project) Completed 40 hour OSHA course.

SBC (Now AT&T) Center. San Antonio Texas November 2000 to June 2003
Multi-Purpose Sports Arena and Concerts and home of the San Antonio Spurs. 750,000 Square Foot building with 18,500 seating capacity and 68 special-built, high-end suites with 7500 space parking. The Project required 45,000 cubic yards of concrete. Building was built with adversity - many rain days with no extensions, 5 months between arrival on the job till the first concrete was placed.
Duties: General / Project Superintendent. Project Value $180 Million
Supervised: 5 Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and the Safety Department, Was involved in creating Baseline Schedule, and 3 Week look ahead, supervised and coordinated field operations, Attended 10 Hour OSHA courses and Partnering sessions throughout the course of the job.
PERINI BUILDERS COMPANY 9/92-8/00
MOHEGAN SUN HOTEL AND CASINO, Uncasville, Connecticut September 1999 to August 2000
Project with a new 800,000 SF, 32 story hotel with 2400 rooms, a new 200,000 SF casino addition, a new office building with 5 new warehouses, along with a 4 story 5,000 space parking garage. Warehouse portion of the project was spread out over 5 square miles - each warehouse was 45,000 SF. Involved in working schedules for the portion of the project along with Baseline Schedule development, 3 Week look ahead, while supervising and coordinating all field operations. Job is all poured and placed concrete. With effis system on exterior and Metal, on hotel had Glass Curtin wall.

PARIS CASINO & RESORT, Las Vegas, Nevada July 1997 to September 1999
Project was a new 1,250,000 SF. 35-story hotel including 3,200 rooms and suites, 150,000 SF new casino, and a 7 story parking garage with 5000 parking spaces - all poured and place concrete, with effis system on exterior. On this project 1.2 million yards of concrete were placed and the electrical company pulled enough wire to wrap the equator 6 times. We worked with Patton Scaffolding Co and developed a compensator for the flying form systems. Perini self performed this job. Also FF&EDuties: Night Superintendent. Project Value $800 Million
Supervised the work force of up to a peak of 850 carpenters and laborers. Was in charge of directing all subcontractors Working nights overseeing the formwork and special forming systems that were used on job.
JOHN ASCUAGA’S NUGGET HOTEL, Sparks, Nevada August 1995 to March 1997
A new 300,000 SF hotel addition including 1200 rooms and poured in place concrete with exterior effis system.
Duties: Safety Supervisor Foreman- Upper Floors Project Value $55 Million
Responsible for the upper floors as far as finish out. Also involved in the FF&E
HAMPTON INN, HOTEL, Reno, Nevada February 1995 to August 1995
A 90,000 SF, 28-story hotel with 450 rooms listed as the highest Hampton Inn in the country, exterior effis system.
Duties: General Foreman Project Value $55 Million
Was sent in to assume responsibility for a project that was 45 days behind schedule - supervised safety and as manyas 400 personnel and sub-contractors. Result – the building was turned over to the owner on time. Perini self performed this building.
The Silver Legacy Hotel Casino Resort, Reno, Nevada. September 1992 to February 1995
Project was a 1,250,000 SF, 35-story hotel including 3100 rooms and suites, a new 300,000 SF casino with exterior effis system and glass Curtin wall along with two covered bridges to interconnect two other casinos in downtown Reno. Ran the night shift and in the process was involved in working with PAFCO in the development of a special jump form system for the core-area elevator shafts, which is the system designed to get the core walls up before the floor slabs where poured.
Duties: Hired as General Foreman then promoted to Assistant Superintendent

HCB CONTRACTORS 6/84-3/91
The Wilshire Towers, Los Angeles, (Beverly Hills) CA. February 1988 to March 1991
A 450,000 SF, 28-story high-rise condo project including a 4 story in-ground parking garage, this project was a self performed project consisting of a structural steel building with poured concrete on Robertson decking with an exterior of GFRC panels and glass.
Duties: General Forman/Assistant Superintendent Project Value $42 Million
Involved with carpenters, to get building completed. Other duties involved overseeing the manufacture of the GFRC panels and Quality control at the Company’s manufacturing plant. Involved in the finish-out process and in Charge of safety.
The First Interstate Building, Los Angeles, CA April 1985 to February 1988
A 1,500,000 SF, 65-story office building This project was a burned-out high-rise in downtown Los Angeles. The Project was all done on Time and Material basis. The exterior was glass Curtin wall and all had to be completely removed and replaced.
Duties: General Forman/Assistant Superintendent
In charge of the demolition of the burned-out areas water damage below the 12th floor and smoke damage from the 17th floor up. Was involved with the Man Lift company in developing a special lift to attach to the building – man lift was 20 feet from building. Had to develop a system of heat-damaged concrete in a checkerboard affair to remove and prevent the structural steel to twist during the remove and replace process.
PACIFIC DESIGN CENTER, Beverly Hills CA June 1984 to April 1985
A 200,000 SF, 6 Story new office building, with above ground parking garage for 1000 auto’s. All glass Curtin wall with an outdoor amphitheater.
Duties: Foreman Project Value $28 Million
To oversee the carpenters and labors, and supervise some of the sub contractors
Self Employed Contractor, Los Angeles CA and Reno Nevada 1978 to 1983
Responsibilities:
