As the Project Manager, I am responsible for all project related field supervision and provide overall on-site administrative and technical management of the construction project site, including coordination of all field activities, set and maintain the project budget, develop and enforce project schedule, conduct safety meetings, enforce safety policies, and assure quality control. Additionally, provide pre-project support with regards to bidding, buy-out, sub-contractor qualifying, write/define scopes of work, estimate materials and manpower.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Provide total project quality control. Maintain budget and project schedule, as well as training.
Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, A/E representatives and other contractors. Weekly training for employees. Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, logistics) and supervise craft employees and subcontractors, as required by the contract. Authorize and/or approve all project purchases, personnel transactions, field design change requests, as well as provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, as required. Prepare monthly Cost to Complete, production reports, cashflow projections, and labor projections.
Assist senior project management/owner in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents and standards, provide daily reports on the project, weekly schedule update on the project, and any necessary RFI,CO,DCO and PO’s as required by the project. Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements and work rules. Document all violations and notify senior project management, recommend/implement corrective actions as required. Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE:
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods), craft agreements, negotiations, engineering, cost control, schedules and safety. Possess excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills. Possess strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project. OSHA Training, First Aid/CPR Certified and bilingual English/Spanish conversational. 20+ years experience.
