. In 1990 I took my knowledge of the engineering and chemical analysis of the aggregates in Indiana and developed Ingram, mining, environmental, engineering. Specializing in underground mines above ground surface mine. That sold soils and crushed limestone silica, shale, and lime. Aggregates provided to clientele from this quarry are: (1) General Motors Power train Plant in Bedford, Indiana. A remediation project that has been in operation since 2003, engineered by Conestoga-Rovers and remediated by Sevenson Environmental Services out of New York and Entact Tactical Services out of Texas. Duke Energy where Ingram mine was providing scrubber stone to the various power plants to control the intert gases. (3) Government contracts for highway work and (4) private clientele. I know most of the end users of the fine grind high cal limestone, just hoping to fine the right location, as well as the right material. These clients will be held confidential for now. My largest project 1 billion dollars. As well as many small State and governmental projects.
Developing a business of this magnitude from scratch in this industry gave me ample time to be proficient and knowledgeable in fine grind plants and kilns well as lime producing plants and products such as metallurgical, chemical grade as well general lime and barite, aragonite. Precipited calcium carbonate [PCC, GCC} alkalinity gypsum and acids controls for high cal and dolomitic. Throughout this learning curve I have to study the periodic table in depth to get a real grip on the elements of the world and how to match them the needs of the world thru proper materials blending and temperature control and monitoring the chemical transformation.
I have a working understanding of lime and cement production, both chemical and mechanical and very good understanding of electric low and high voltage, as well as hydraulics. Computer skills windows vista, some CAD some sigma and various other programs I have some skills in navigational equipment; I have taken my own boat from Ft. Lauderdale to the Bahamas, and Key West.
I’m the guy that can start the mine, work the equipment, fix equipment and sell the material, and find new uses for the materials. Coal Limestone copper lime silver gold Salt.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Ingram Quarry, Bloomington, IN
Managerial Engineering/Superintendent
• Seventeen years of “Hands On†development of an open-pit surface mine and underground from scratch. Obtained proper permits and federal/state/DNR numbers to operate the extraction and processing of aggregates of the mine. Also a great deal of geotechnical experience in coal limestone copper.
• Underground / above ground coal: Portal, intake, exhaust, shaft and Ventilation design. Room pillar, curtain seal bareholes, roof support and roof bolt pattern design, as well as Strata and core sampling. And follow research on dissolution rock layer. Ongoing mapping stock piles running totals, extraction process as well calculating natural gas or CBM deposits and fitting into mining practices. Installed proper safety measure for mine safety under US GOV MSHA. Set up percentage for extraction and retreat as . Design reclamation and disposal and containment of acid waste water. Mine extraction continuous miner, long wall, and high wall, mining. Have also look into other mining practices the one that most excites me is Hydro mining safer and more economical. Plant design from the portal to plant to truck, rail, barge.
• Proficient in aggregate production; stripping of overburden, engineering of roadways, drainage systems and blasting shots; restocking of material; equipment maintenance and equipment operation and plant operation . Setup complete plants ball mill, slag plants, lime plants cement plants phosphates plants potash.
• Responsible for the management of plant operations, development of mining plans to support short/long term planning and production goals for the mining operations. And environmental issues...
• Environmental management- worked with other senior Environmental Geotechnical Engineers to establish implement and provide technical skills for site closure and budgeting and reclamation for all the different agencies, also supply technical materials to the agencies. Land, Water, Air. All mining operations limestone coal, gold, silver, alumina. And slurry operation, and railroad spills and various other kinds of site cleanup.
• I also have blind bore and raise bore experience, as well shaft and slope and intake and exhaust ventilation as well lining of shafts most type of drilling, and engineering of these projects. This experience is mostly in the coal and copper silver gold and Limestone industry. Also can start a mining operation from the first bucket of dirt to the first buck!!
• Computer skills Microsoft excel word power point, windows Vista, QuickBooks, auto CAD, Carlson, GIS, ISO, and various photo programs.
• Responsible with continuous improvements to the quarry with programs involving safety, efficient mining and processing methods, logistics, equipment selection, and manpower utilization and production requirements.
• MSHA (Mine, Safety and Health Administration) certified for above ground mines and underground mines.
EH&S Systems from initial design, development, and implementation.
• Extensive knowledge of aggregate seams/ledges, plus their chemical analysis.
• Acquired and maintained city, government and private contracts consisting of profits into the millions for a start-up mine.
• . Over 20,000 man hours operating the following equipment: Nordberg, terex,Siemen, Sandvik, lippmann Impactor Cone, Jaw Crusher Plant, Nordberg Screen Plant, Ball mills ,kilns , Hyundai Cat Komatus, Hitachi Excavators, Hyundai, Cat Front End Loaders, D6, D8 and D10 Cat Dozer, Volvo Articulated Haul Trucks, Hammer Attachments, Power screen sieve plant for topsoil, drilling machines, generator plants/power grids, cranes track, hydra, Terex grove, link belt 65 ton 150 ton/high lift, borrowing machines, shovels and drag lines, miners Muckers. Clamshell. Pile drivers long wall high wall continuous mining systems.
My scope of my operation in railroad was as follows:
• Cover and clearing, grubbing, excavations (cuts), embankments (fills), drainage,
• Sub ballast, erosion projection ballasting both sub grade and final grade.
• I was also somewhat involve with tie spacing, line grade, rail laying, plate placing, final raise and surfacing, final dressing, rail sawing, join and spiking patterns, rail anchor patterns, gage of rail track, (as well as pick and shovel training). Loading and unloading rail cars as well. As well environmental cleanup of rail properties
• Landfill construction as well caps designs.
.
I also have Bridge and Dam design and repair and build experience. Some my Scope of Geotechnical Engineering
Origin of soils and rocks, engineering significance of geologic landforms and soil Rock deposits, identification and engineering classification of soils and rock ,as well as engineering behavior and properties of soils and rock as well as their chemical analysis uses , permeability, compressibility, shearing resistance, soil compaction , porosity ,Also ASTM testing and DOT .
Also have good working knowledge and uses of most industrial minerals
Dam evaluation and design ,Water storage dams evaluation and design ,Deep foundation and shallow foundation design ,Mine leach pad design •Lined process water impoundments ,Flood control and irrigation design projects , plant and industrial facility site design Experience in hydrology and hydraulics management experience in the design and construction of embankment and concrete dames, appurtenant structures, canals, levees and/or tunnels. Dam design and construction hydrology, hydraulics, structural.
