Summary:
I have been active in the Construction/Homebuilding industry for over 20 years with experience ranging from basic construction carpentry to management of high volume production homebuilding. I have executive responsibility experience as a Division Manager for a Land Development Firm, Production Manager for a National Homebuilding Firm and I owned and managed a company that functioned as a key supplement to the high volume production process via a Trade Partner relationship for a major production homebuilder. Experience and responsibilities included sales, land acquisition and development, pre-construction planning, estimating & budgeting, production scheduling, vendor management, trade relations and quality assurance. Most recently, I was Operations Manager for a manufacturing company.
In this position I was responsible for leadership and management of all production and production related functions at the company. These functions included: managing shop floor, field crews, and front office, manufacturing, production planning and scheduling, safety, customer service, equipment maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, receiving, shipping, facility management, and job planning.
In this position I was responsible for all aspects of the construction process from land acquisition and development to marketing and sales. Projects ranged from individual residential site development to multi-unit refit and construction. Daily activities included (but not limited to), selection, hiring and management of sub-contractors, project estimation, budgeting and financial management, quality control and customer satisfaction and, property management.

In this position I had primary responsibilities for multiple site planning, individual and consolidated project budgeting, identification and selection of construction crews and scheduling of daily operations. I had 15 direct report Project Managers, taught regional classes in construction techniques/safety, and worked with Engineers and Developers to establish goals for land development.

Production Manager of my Company, which provided construction services for a major production homebuilder. Primary responsibilities included project planning, individual and consolidated project budgeting, identification and selection of construction crews and scheduling of daily operations. Additional responsibilities included material management, project site management and resource allocations for multiple construction sites in multiple cities. I planned for and managed the operation of twenty (20) construction crews of various skill sets in two large metropolitan areas. Additional requirements included negotiation and establishment of trade rates and the monitoring of profitability of negotiated rates against plan and budget. During the construction process, I was responsible for the performance quality of the sub-contractors and overall quality of the finished product. In a follow-up capacity I established and maintained high quality customer relations with both end consumers and consumer intermediaries.
