Work History
HBE Corporation, St. Louis, MO. Project Superintendent on the following projects (June 1997 – Sept 08).
• (2006- 2008) Recently completed supervising (start to finish) the $3 million 3,800 sq/ft Hospital Surgery addition and 3,000 sq/ft Endoscopy renovations in River Falls, WI. The surgery room suite addition, endoscopy remodel and also existing surgery area renovations were done without interruption to normal everyday hospital activity and business. This job had extensive med gas work (N2, NO2, O2, Steam, Med Air and Vacuum). Additional features of this job were, installing large structural steel surgical light and equipment booms in the new OR's, large penthouse for variable-frequency drive HVAC system, critical temperature and humidity requirements, steam systems, extensive med gas tie-ins to existing systems, fire sprinkler system and installed new steam boiler, OSHA inspection.
• (2005, 2006) I supervised the (start to finish) construction of a 7,000 sq/ft $3.2 million Citizens National Bank in Mississippi during and after the Hurricane Katrina storm, which made it difficult to resume work with many of the subcontractors hit hard by the storm. Additional features were; installed precast cash and document vault, concrete drive through islands, pneumatic tube system for drive up lanes, custom made hardwood trim, brick veneer wanes coat and EFIS (Exterior Finish and Insulation Systems), 4/12 pitch standing seam metal roof panels, Diebold security system and vault door.
• (2004, 2005) I managed (start to finish) the 10,000 Sq/ft, $4 million Frontier Community Credit Union in Leavenworth Kansas. This was a start to finish project that involved extensive pneumatic tube systems, 6 lane drive through, bullet resistant glass and a large pre-cast cash and document vault, modular office cubicles, Pre-fabricated glass office front system, 7 zoned HVAC units, Diebold security system and vault door.
• (2002, 2003 and 2004) I was Superintendent (start to finish) on a $4.5 million 30,000 sq/ft Hospital and Clinic addition and operating room renovation in Broken Bow Nebraska. Additional features of this job were; standing seam metal roof panels, 18ft. brick veneer, extensive med gas work (N2, NO2, O2, Steam, Med Air and Vacuum), Complex HVAC system, fire sprinkler system, large surgical light and equipment boom mounts, double coffered ceiling in reception / waiting room, 14,000 sq./ft. renovation of existing exam and office space, 3 nurse stations, ICU, surgical unit, Helicopter pad, replaced 2,000 amp building feed electrical power transformer, OSHA inspection.
• (2001, 2002) Superintendent (start to finish) on $3.5 million Financial Facility in Green Bay Wisconsin, (ground up to owner turn over). This was a wood and steel framed structure, wood truss roof system, brick veneer, cast in place cash and document vault, drive-through pneumatic tube system, 6 zoned HVAC units, Diebold security system and vault door, OSHA inspection.
• (1999 to 2000) I supervised (start to finish), the $2 million Thumb National Bank and Trust project in Cass City Michigan. Features; built new 2,800 sq/ft. office and walk up teller line addition. Built new soffits and EFIS on exterior of new and existing building. Built poured in place concrete cash and document vault. Renovated entire existing building after new addition was completed.
• (2000) I was sent to supervise the start and mobilization of a $2.5 million financial facility addition in South Carolina. This several month job involved clearing a 4 acre forest, acquiring building permits, setting up the office trailer on job site, installing underground utilities, Layout building footings and start foundation work.
• (1999, 2000) I was dispatched as Co-superintendent to help get control of a $12 million Assisted Living Center project in Chicago, which was over budget and significantly behind schedule. I assisted to the end of the project directing punch list efforts and completion of interior finishes in the 260,000 sq/ft., 3 story 6 building complex. Additional features of this job were, full size commercial kitchen, Deli, large 4 story chapel with stained glass windows, 3 story brick veneer, large commons area, Nurse station and large concrete basement for storage and extensive HVAC and mechanical systems, fire sprinkler system.
• (1999) I was sent to supervise the start and mobilization of a $4 million Hospital Clinic 2nd story addition in Minnesota. My purpose was to set up the job, acquiring building permits, set up the office trailer at the job site, install underground utilities, prep the flat precast concrete roof (measure, calculate and layout building steel column elevations and locations) by cutting over 80 holes in the rubber membrane and building weather tight boxes for setting the second story steel columns. Remove top of brick veneer and cap with rubber.
• (1997 to 1999), (start to finish) 28,000 sq/ft Hospital clinic and OR addition and renovation in Mobridge, South Dakota. I was hired by HBE and promoted to Superintendent on the $3.7 million Project. Additional features of this job were, 17,000 sq/ft renovation of ICU, existing clinic patent rooms, 3,000 sq/ft of asbestos abatement, large penthouse for HVAC, roof top chiller and steam heat system, extensive med gas work (N2, NO2, O2, Steam, Med Air and Vacuum), brick veneer, Helicopter pad, 3 stall Ambulance garage, new emergency generator, new hospital complex power transformer, fire sprinkler system. All without interruption to normal everyday hospital activities.
On my HBE projects, I managed subcontractor foremen and crews and controlled their performance to meet operational standards for productivity, quality and customer service, while maintaining safe work environments by following and enforcing safety standards and procedures set by OSHA and my Company. Responsible for calculating and submitting Owner billing and Sub pay applications. I assessed work requirements and conformity with work details on field reports, and advised on the safest and most efficient work methods and techniques. I attended client meetings, revised and tracked schedules and resolved issues that arose with field operations and subcontractors. I conducted weekly site work progression meetings, inspections and safety talks. Participated in internal project reviews and coordinated with home office personnel on project status and progress. Constant personal mechanical systems inspection to verify correct components and precise installation. Confirm proper Integration of new HVAC equipment with existing equipment and existing control system. All was done without an on site secretary or any company staff, other than myself and the subcontractors.

Partner and Construction Foreman / Supervisor (1992 - 1998) At Hepper Construction We built and remodeled commercial buildings (retail stores, industrial, resort cabins, storage) and built costume homes from the ground up, including the design and working blueprints.
• (1997) I was hired by HBE and promoted to Superintendent on the following project
• (1996 to1997) $3.7 million Hospital addition and renovation in South Dakota. HBE subcontracted us for footing and floor concrete, carpentry, millwork installation, doors and hardware installation, caulking
• (1994 to1996) Built commercial (meat packing plant, auto gas and service station), and designed and built custom residential homes. Also performed payroll and owner billing

• General foreman - $2 million Santa Monica, CA personal home remodel for Bruce Karatz (CEO of KB Homes). My duties were quality control, improvising solutions to the day to day problems and detailing for Mr. Karatz. Also, renovated Mr. Karatz ' $7 million beach house in Newport Beach, CA.
