LP Ciminelli Construction, Inc.; Washington, PA 2006- September 2007
Senior Project Manager- Supervised a staff of 7 professionals; finished a $23 million dollar temporary casino and transitioned to construct a permanent $150 million dollar Casino/Harness Racing Grandstand and 200 room hotel project.
Resigned due to irreconcilable differences with management over payments to sub-contractors.
Michigan Industrial Group; Detroit, MI 2001 to 2006
Vice President – Held P&L responsibility for a start-up construction management and general contracting firm primarily serving the southeast Michigan area. Clients included General Motors, Ford Motor, Daimler Chrysler, Motor City Casino, Detroit Public School System, Consumer’s Energy and Detroit Edison.
Directly accountable for reviewing budget and schedule performance on all company projects (e.g. schools, commercial buildings, automotive, power plants). Managing and working with the estimating department to select target projects for bidding, attending pre-bid meetings, working with major sub-contractors to form strategic alliances for targeting projects, and reviewing all final bids submitted. • Bid and negotiated multiple CM contracts from the Detroit Public School System. Completed the Heilmann elementary school project valued at $21 million within one year; completed the Central High School $44 million dollar addition and renovation project on schedule and within budget.
• Bid and won a $30 million joint venture plant decommissioning project for the Ford Motor Company in Edison, NJ. Personally set up and managed the project for the first two months, then assigned staff and managed the project to completion.
• Program and Project Management for the $200 million dollar Motor City Casino expansion project. The Project included
A 17 story, 400-unit hotel, 75,000sf of additional gaming area, a 200,000sf conference center and theater, and a parking deck for 700 vehicles. Managed the preliminary and final budgets, design, and bid package preparation. Performed all major subcontract negotiations, and awarded sub-contracts.

Senior Construction Manager – Provided construction project leadership for a division of one of the country’s leading planning, engineering, program and construction management organizations.
Assigned as the leader of the Construction Management Team at the General Motors Technical Center in Warren, Michigan. Performed multiple industrial and commercial renovation projects and new building projects on the 100+-acre facility. Managed 25+ projects that exceeded $350 million in contracted value; held accountability for the schedule and budget performance on all assigned projects. • Performed budget estimates on projects, and design reviews for constructability and value engineering. Directed A/E firms on bid package preparation. Coordinated bid packages with the GM Purchasing Department.
• Attended weekly financial review meetings with client for all projects under construction. Reviewed and authorized monthly invoices from contractors on all assigned projects. Negotiated subcontractor disputes.
• Successfully completed the renovation of the Cadillac Administration Building two months ahead of schedule, and 3% under the allocated budget of $21.5 million.
• Replaced the A/E firm for the “Design Building Addition & Renovation Project†in order to get the project back on schedule and within budget. Project was completed on schedule and within the original budget of $16 million.
• Performed value engineering on architectural, electrical, and mechanical systems that resulted in over $8 million dollars worth of cost savings for the “Vehicle Engineering†Building project.
• Implemented standardized scheduling and cost control for all assigned projects and provided value-engineering recommendations to GM.

Senior Construction Manager – Functioned as the owner’s representative on capital improvement projects (annual project dollar volume of $60 million+) throughout the U.S. for the company’s Real Estate & Construction Division.
Held complete scheduling, budgeting and quality assurance responsibility on projects, and signatory authority to $999,000 for any change order or contract. Met with the client group to develop the initial budget and project scope, and hired A/E firms to perform drawings, and specifications. Prepared final construction cost estimates and secured funding. • Successfully designed and installed computer rooms at numerous facilities – largest computer project (value of $25 million) was the installation of a Cray Computer and new office facilities for GE Financial Services, which was performed on schedule and within budget.
