Newland Entities Inc., Yuba City, California 2009
QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER / Temporary Hire
* Recruited as QC Manager responsible for $7 million repair of levees in Sacramento, California by the Army Corps of Engineers.
* Project included 115,000 tons of quarry stone placed on river banks.
* Conducted three-phase inspections as required by specifications, controlled documentation and held weekly meetings.
Murillo Modular Group, Carrollton, Texas (Corporate Office) 2008 – 2009
QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER
* Played key role as QC Manager in $7 million USACE’s contract to build multiple day care facilities on Fort Lewis Army Base.
* Inspected for QC and Safety on and off site, coordinated three-phase inspections and testing as required and controlled documentation for submission to monitoring agencies.
* Conducted all weekly project specification meetings and mutual understanding meetings.
Staples Construction, San Diego, California 2007 – 2008
JOC PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT / LEAD ESTIMATOR
* Directed $4 million project with multiple components at the California Maritime Academy over 18 months.
* Project included a Maritime Academy Simulation Center which included two simulators designed to replicate the operating bridge of a ship, each with 360 degree movie screens. Completion included over 10,000 sq ft of sheet rock with a level five finish.
* Responsible for “HAZMAT” removal of CSU structures of 20,000 sq ft, repair of roads and parking areas, and replacement of all wooden stairs with steel and concrete structures.
* Qualified and authorized all subcontractors.
Menemsha Companies, El Segundo, California 2005 – 2006
FIELD PROJECT MANAGER
* Constructed and remodeled commercial structures for Washington Mutual Bank, McDonalds and Cingular Wireless.
* Supervised all subcontractors to completion on or before due date and within budget. All projects were completed with zero incident safety reports.

* As a commercial and residential General Contractor, projects included 80,000 sq ft of commercial space, 30,000 sq ft of custom residential home construction and 15,000 sq ft of custom additions.
* Created quality work, managed all permitting, satisfied all city/county/state requirements, managed subcontractors and oversaw office personnel in their handling of accounting and payroll.
U.S. Army Corp of Engineers/Navy Seabees 1975 – 1995
CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR / Retired Military
Constructed and repaired hospitals, prison camps, schools and other projects while deployed in foreign countries for the US Navy. Worked with many unions, agencies and governments that employed people of many different ethnic backgrounds. Maintained a superb relationship with all workers and employers. Eventually assigned to the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) committee; participated in base closings and maintenance of historical landmarks. Supervised up to 65 people while in the military.
