Multi- Million-dollar Cooling Tower Project
Excavated for cooling tower basin compacted sub grade. Poured seal slab, installed rebar, water stop, and poured 2ea. 200’ x 600’ x 12” matt’s. Formed, installed rebar, water stop, and poured 8’ x 12” cooling tower walls Excavated and installed sump. Installed approximately 6500LF of 72” underground pipe from new basin & made tie in to existing basin.
Site work at Amoco Texas City. The installation of 2400LF of 62” concrete reinforced pipe, Motiva Port Arthur – Tank Rings Etc
Responsibilities included but not limited to coordinating the group of craft superintendents, manage craft labor at work locations. Work directly with client to interpret plans and specifications, communicate any deviations and accounts properly. Inspect all work in progress to ensure quality and compliance. Documented daily activity, submit Management Reports, and managed subcontract labor. Scheduled the labor, tools, and equipment to meet schedules and budgets. Maintained Safety Program to ensure that all activities were performed to standard and maintained excellent safety record.

Responsible for management of the Contractor Construction Quality Control Program on a multi-million dollar Army facility to store, and secure chemical nerve agent. Performed as QA/QC Manager to ensure that all construction complied with the terms of the contract. Provided oversight on all phases of work, to include approval of submittals, procurement, and storage of materials and equipment. Managing subcontractor’s activities, on-site inspections, and testing. Developed and submitted required reports and records for all QA/QC activities. Implemented the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers “ Three Phase Control System“, and managed the required Preparatory Meetings held prior to beginning work on each definable feature of work. Conducted daily coordination meeting with the Government Client, Contractor Design Team, Sub-contractors, suppliers and vendors. Performed on-site surveillance and enforcement of project safety standards. Utilized Microsoft Word and Internet daily.

Preformed chain wall building at Corning Glass in Harrodsburg, KY. Completed excavations, constructed wall foundations, set precast walls, installed structural steel, paving, and other related projects.

Started and completed all civil work. Excavated shoring, slurry shafts, and all foundations. Included but not limited too, elevating foundations, such as large generator, and turbine, foundations, cooling towers, structural pipe racks, all steel structures, and numerous others. Grouted all equipment. Other projects included Arco Pipeline, Texas Petro-Chem., Akzo Chemical, and Phillips Petroleum. Also, LCR Coker Project; Started and completed all civil work, temporary facilities, excavations, drive piling, 4-drum coker structure, several generator and turbine foundations, underground pipe, paving, structural steel, scaffolds, and all other aspects included in the scope of work.
