To whom it may concern,
I am writing to inquire about any entry level construction management position. My following resume and specifically, work experience is but a fraction of the practical construction knowledge I acquired in over a decade of General Contracting and carpentry work. Years of trades work has instilled in me a get it done mentality as a response to the changes and obstacles of every day construction.
I have a 12yr back ground in residential construction; with some exposure to commercial construction with an emphasis on carpentry. In my CM studies at EMU I’ve found that my general construction experience allowed the curriculum to come natural, almost easy to me. Applying the work ethic I acquired as a carpenter has served well in my studies, and I feel is what has allowed me to finish my B of S in Construction Mgmt with a minor in General Business in less than three years, all while maintaining a 3.5 GPA. I feel that I am fully ready to take on any entry level Construction Management position you have available and look forward to getting my feet wet in the Construction Management profession. I sincerely thank you for your time and consideration and look forward to hearing from you, I can be reached at (248) 890-4290.
Respectfully,
Joshua J. Runyan
