2005 - 2009 Worked as an electrician while directing and training workers to install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using specifications and hand tools. Also prepared sketches of the location for wiring and followed blueprints to determine location of equipment and conformance to safety codes. In addition inspected systems and electrical parts, to detect hazards or defects that would need to be adjusted or repaired.
2004 - 2005 BESTCO GENERAL ELECTRIC
Worked as an electrician doing different tasks, such as conduit bending and working with control wiring. Installed electrical wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Also did testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. In addition constructed and fabricated parts using hand tools and specifications.
2000 - 2003 U.S. ARMY
Worked as a Chemical Engineer, overseeing the proper functioning of all chemical equipment while serving in Iraq. Wiring all new facilities and made sure that every site was properly ready for inspection and use.
1995 - 2000 BESTCO GENERAL ELECTRIC
Worked as an apprentice to the shop foreman doing various tasks such as installing electrical wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Also did testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. In addition did wire pulling, installation of disconnect switches, electrical circuits, and conduit bending.
1994 – 1995 LONG ISLAND COMMUNICATIONS
Worked as an electrician helper while maintaining tools in working condition and also kept an inventory of all materials.
