Project Superintendent - Initiated as a Homeland security project after 9/11 aftermath, to have control over all aircraft civilian or military in case of hostile takeover or catastrophic failure. Project was built in an undisclosed location on the inside of an existing warehouse. Project consisted of heavy steel re-construction to support large drop projection screens, air handling equipment and multi-stage drop ceilings. Managed all subcontractors and participated in ongoing design of building. Met with architects and conducted weekly subcontractor meetings. Performed the wiring (approx. 15 miles) installed satellites, battery back-up systems and generators. Responsibilities included structural framing, drywall, electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing and fire protection. Duties also included responsibilities of OSHA and city regulations.

Project Superintendent/Project Manager - (Conducted role as Job superintendent and moved into to Project Manager Role ½ way thru completion of project).
Built a helicopter assembly plant which Bell was awarded, 1st contract with US Army in 30 yrs. Assembly plant was built on soils which required moisture conditioning, lime stabilization, formed in place footings and piers. Structure was designed and properly installed 3 overhead bridge cranes. Constructed a full size cafeteria to feed 300 people with a 3-story office building to house 350 engineers. Installed fire protection systems which included ESFR heads, foam suppression systems and retention ponds for jet fuel recovery. Handled safely hazardous waste materials. Supervised the installation of all energy management systems which included Andover and T.A.C. (such as lighting, chiller, generator systems). Communicated effectively with FAA and airport authority to abide by regulations. Re-routed runway lighting cables due to restrictions on junction boxes not being allowed by FAA.

Project Superintendent – Managed the construction of Chemical Process Facility plant located in the middle of the facility, thus increasing project difficulty. Installed structure and rails for 7 cranes in building. Supervised the re-routing of the storm drainage, electrical, fire mains, water, sulfuric acid and cyanide lines. Managed the underground chemical lines containment trenches. Effectively communicated and cooperated with internal and external environmental divisions. Helped design plant systems and assisted in achieving good constructability practices. Recognized the expertise needed to effectively implement drawing details versus successful field application. Successfully saved time and money due to efficient planning. Responsible for correcting ineffective drilled piers that were collapsing due to soil conditions and inaccurate geotechnical reports received. Played an active role in the re-designed of continuous footings cast in place. and was able to build sub grade foundation once walls were erected. Utilized CMU block as part of building structure along with PEMB structural steel supporting structures. Effectively communicated and negotiated with suppliers in order to install components.

Summary – Doskocil Enterprises was a family owned business with the decision to sell the company in 1997. Doskocil Mfg. has products that are in virtually every household in the U.S and globally. Manufacturing company includes plastic products with applications such as pet supplies, hunting supplies and usage in airports. Once buy out took place, family continued the construction interest and began Bemar Construction.

Project Manager /Project Superintendent – Supervised and managed all 3 phases (design, contract negotiations,( tax abatements with city of Arlington, Tx.) of $22million dollar plant. Implemented Stage 1 of project which included all concrete with steel structures covering 450,000 sq feet. Supervised 2nd construction phase covering 350,000 sq ft with roof height of 52 ft, 70 ton bridge cranes with up to 110 foot spans used. Utilized heavy electrical equipment for 3 story building consisting of (8) 7000 amp transformers. Implemented the construction of massive piping for refrigeration, chilled water and liquid nitrogen. Worked closely with owners on design and installation of process piping, vacuum tubes and material lines. Completed stage 3 covering an additional 300,000 sq feet consisting of a warehouse and manufacturing facility. Supervised the building and installation of the conveyor systems, racking systems, and wiring guided systems for material transfer systems.

Project Manager for a recycling plant covering 30 acres, measuring 55 ft tall to roof line, which recycled plastic from oil companies utilizing massive equipment stored underneath building. Managed project which consisted of multiple storage units above grade & below; including 13 material silos which held 1 million pounds of plastic each. Supervised project with concrete shell , with interior conventional steel bar joist. Comprised of 15 ton cranes, jib hoists. Supervised the construction of chemical tanks, install massive electricity system and fire protection system.
