Dear Sir/Madame,
I would like to join your team! I have been working as an architectural and design project manager for the past fourteen years. My experience has been all encompassing and, aside from the full development and coordination of the architectural packages, has included direct work with all departments such as acquisition, marketing, leasing, sales, construction, as well as managing sub-contractors and consultants. Responsibilities have included:
• LEEP certification management
• full design-process management
• field observations and quality control
• material selection and specification
• submittal process management
• solution identification
• RFI responses, tracking and review
• subcontractor submittal and shop drawing review and approvals
• on-site coordination and meetings
I have been involved with type I, II, and type V construction. I also have a strong knowledge of where things have a potential to go wrong, having worked in the construction defect field for three years. I have the ability to trouble shoot problems ahead of time.
I am a LEED-AP and am currently working on my PMP and QCM certificates, which should be completed by the end of May. I strongly believe that I will be a great asset to your firm. I am a good negotiator, I have a great work ethic, ambition, a strong memory, and lots of common sense. I would very much appreciate the chance to meet with you to learn more about your company and how we can work together.
Sincerely,
Karen Van Winkle
