Modular Mechanical Superintendent/Coordinator: 1.5 Billion (Contract-Laid Off due to Project Downsizing)
• Responsible for the management of up to (500) Union Craftsmen, which included their overall safety compliance, adherence to the quality assurance program, and the handling, installation and Project Schedule during the installations of both Process Modular and stick-built mechanical equipment and associated piping systems in an operating refinery environment.
• Directly responsible for managing all of the Project Engineering functions for assigned Scope of Work. This included the full adherence and direct management of the published Quality Assurance Program and the ensuring that all completed work fell within published Engineering Specifications and complied with ACI, API, AISC, B 31.1 and B31.3 ASME Codes.
• Managed all mechanical and piping procurement deliverables associated with any of the mechanical scope. Ensured that all deliverables were in full compliance with published specifications upon receiving them in the field through the management of Positive Material Identification Procedures and furnished Material Testing Reports, as well as Material Receiving Reports for record.

• Working with an estimator, developed the baseline preliminary conceptual schedule and subsequent baseline Level 3 Schedule for this entire Cat Gas Hydro-Treater Project.
• Managed daily work around planning with three different engineering companies assigned to the project, managing their often late deliverables.
• Designed, orchestrated and implemented the overall Project Health Safety and Environmental Plan for the Project.

• Successful management of Safety, Quality, Cost and Schedule on a Project that had up to (12) different sub-contractors both union and non-union working simultaneously, were all part of my daily responsibilities.
• Managed and monitored the Fast-Track Schedule and ensured the overall continual coordination with the an existing operating facility operations which included; establishing and coordinating work activities during available line down-times, managing all activities during holiday shut-downs, establishing and ensuring that product protection plans did not hinder or interfere with the Plant’s production schedules.
• Managed all work around planning and coordination with the various crafts in a fast-track FDA Regulated project environment, based on all of the immediately available deliverables.
• Managed, reviewed and approved all invoicing and change order requests prior to payment being issued by the Project Manager.
• Managed start-up of a new clean fill and can production line, which produced over 2.5 million filled 24 ounce cans daily.

Site Construction Superintendent/Owner’s Site Representative: $195 Million (Started and Completed Project -Contract Completed)
• Worked as the Owner’s construction representative between the Construction Management Team, Engineering Staff, and the Project General Contractor on a New Research Primate Pharmaceutical Facility in an all union environment.
• Responsible for the overall Site Safety, Quality Assurance, Project Schedule, Overall Costs of the Project, Union Arbitration and Grievance disputes and settlement negotiation and the reviewing and approving of all invoices for payment based on monthly progress.
• Responsible for ensuring strict Pharmaceutical Specifications during sanitary process piping and sanitary equipment, process evaluating equipment, clean water and air and that all strictly regulated FDA Government Standards were adhered to for the duration of the project.
• Responsible for the management of all NCR’s and tracking of their dispositions and implementation to ensure no impacts to the project’s fast-track schedule.
• Ensured scheduled completion date on this fast-track project was met successfully.

• Responsible for all Constructability Design Reviews and provided specification and installation feasibility input for two major EPA Projects. (Sulfur Recovery Unit and Flare Gas Recovery Unit)
• Mandated the procedures and implemented the tracking of all engineering and procurement deliverables for the Projects.
• Successfully managed and orchestrated the initial Construction Kick-Off activities on both Projects, including site setup for the pending arrival for the rest of the CM Team and the direct management of the General Contractor on site, for the first seven weeks single-handedly.

• Managed the planning, scheduling and coordinating daily work with all other crafts involved on the project and the absolute assurance that strict pharmaceutical specification compliance on all installed cooling/heating system piping and equipment.
• Managed the installations of the various pieces of mechanical equipment and ductwork by the sub-contractors.

• Responsible for overseeing the overall safety, quality cost and schedule for up to (50) union and non-union piping fabricators.
• Managed two major B31.1 power piping contracts which included; the direct staffing of craft personnel, organization of the Fabrication Shop for code compliance, procurement of all required materials for each contract, overseeing fabrications, the quality assurance (AI Inspections) and the tracking of all piping fabrication welding activities, prior to their shipping to the field for installations.

Field Engineer/Mechanical Coordinator: $35 Million. (Came in at 50% Complete-Project Completed)
• Responsible for the overall Management, commissioning and all client turnover packages for over (29) mechanical systems on each turbine.
• This assignment included the installation, start-up and operation of (3), GE design combustion turbines and subsequent start-up and operations.
• Managed all associated Change Order activities.
• Field design and drafting of various piping installations and changes.
• Visually inspected all mechanical systems for specification compliance and their mechanical completeness and created punch-lists for the field.

• Directly responsible for the supervision of three foremen, and up to (60) piping union and non-union personnel in the installation of a GE Steam Turbine, a Heat Recovery Steam Generator and a GE 7F Combustion Turbine.
• Performance was recognized through promotion to Piping Superintendent over all Balance of Plant and Steam Generator B31.1, Section A, tie-in piping.
• Project was successfully completed within budget and two months ahead of schedule with no punch-list items or safety incidents recorded.
