Manager level consultant hired to write policy manual and implement HRIS system for the National Automobile Dealers Association. Hired by Triple Canopy to streamline their Defense Base Act (workers’ compensation) process and train staff.

Benefits Manager
Responsible for 26 different benefits plans for 1,500 international employees, 6,000 local nationals and 400 domestic employees for a $5 billion-dollar US Government contract to provide linguist services to the US armed forces. Accomplishments include revising evacuation procedures from Iraq; creating “concierge agreement†in Germany; publishing benefits manual in three languages and solving serious DBA issues for employees.
Conservation International, Washington, DC 2003 - 2005
International Human Resources Manager
Responsible for all human resources issues in Africa and Asia for a $126 million, 1,000-employee environmental organization. Accomplishments include writing and implementing new expatriate policy; training foreign staff in compensation and classification; created international labor laws and benefit matrices; satisfactorily resolved employee-relations issues in various countries; conducted and solved staff investigations.

Human Resources Manager, contract to hire
Primary human resources point-of-contact for a $30 million, 400-employee international, non-profit with over 30 offices worldwide. Accomplishments include creating full-service procedures handbook to guide staff; created offshore retirement plan for international employees, implemented new benefit plans that led to monetary savings; revised recruiting and orientation procedures that reduced turnover by 20 per cent. As a consultant, I conducted job evaluations for 120+ positions and partnered with sr. management to define organizational structures, issues, and strategies.

Personnel Officer
Human resource leader for 200 staff members in Croatia and assisted in matters concerning 400 staff in Bosnia and Herzegovina (international and local staff) for the international humanitarian institution. Accomplishments include successful negotiations with government officials, hospitals and schools to successfully transition duty station; trained 100 senior managers in a new performance appraisal/career development system and created field office manual that decreased accidents and clarified/interpreted policies reducing staff tensions.
