I am the 4th year instructor for IEC Chesapeake [at] Odenton
I teach continuing education classes for my own exam prep company, and IEC
Chesapeake: Journeyman, and Master Electrician Exam Prep courses
Inspiring apprentices to challenge there selves to become the best that they can be
In 1999 I accomplished getting my Ohio State Master Electricians License. I also have
a Harford, and P.G. County Journeyman’s license.
Superintendent: I have managed up to five projects at the same time, not only
managing the manpower, but working with all different types of personalities to ensure
a smooth, timely, and profitable job. Also dealing with gear, and fixture package
deliveries; Scheduling inspections, and building good relationships with the inspectors;
Attending all progress meetings with the general contractors, gaining there confidence
in my guys and my abilities; Pulling all permits for the projects; scheduling equipment;
and continually up dating as-built drawing through out the projects.
Some of the projects I managed as Superintendent are: onW.
Patrick St. in Frederick, MD.; in Crofton, MD. ; in
Walkersville, MD. ; And Ceiling upgrade and TIMS projects.
As a foreman I accomplished the skills necessary to allow me to move up to the level
of superintendent
As a foreman I learned how to completely track jobs to know at all times how the job is
doing in hours compared to percentages complete
Some Jobs that I have run are: at NNMC,
ceiling upgrades for AACPS, and
at the U.S. Naval Academy.
I graduated ABC electrical apprenticeship in 1996 (Columbus, OH.)
Residential Wiring: As an apprentice I worked my way through all aspects of
residential wiring, both single and multifamily. Ultimately running my own jobs with a
helper or small crew.
Commercial Wiring: As a commercial electrician I excelled in installing, and laying out
conduit for branch circuits and feeders. Pulling branch circuits, feeders, and service
conductors among other things. I learned how to be proficient in print reading and not
only electrical plans, but mechanical and architectural plans as well. Eventually
gaining the trust of my employer to run my own commercial projects.
