Hired as Tool and Die maker for original owners (Drake Corporation.) Became Chief Engineer and Safety Manager when Drake was purchased by Richco,Inc, which in turn was purchased by Bergmann. Bergmann is a sheet metal stamping and fabricating company.
Daily use of AutoCAD and Mechanical Desktop (3d) design of progressive dies and automated assembly lines for metal stampings. Also responsible for quotations of custom and proprietary parts, including tooling to produce the parts. Was responsible for coordination of support tooling and equipment for Drake maquiladora. By consolidating material specs and sizes, we were able to reduce material inventory by 45%. Electrical drawings and schematics for proprietary equipment lines were a main focus. I also made all Engineering Change Request/Engineering Change Notice entries, maintained the ECR/ECN records, and provided conversion and closure notification to all signers of ECRs and ECNs. I am well versed in sheet metal fabrications and machine work of all kinds. Proficient in use of all machine tools and sheet metal fab equipment. Programmed Wire Electrical Discharge Machines using Faptcut 6.2 (Fanuc controls.)
