Apply my skills and experience to a position as Construction Administrator or Construction Manager.
John has 30 years of diverse experience in architecture, construction and facility management, and construction product manufacturing, giving him a detailed understanding of the construction process.
Experience as Construction Administrator for HOK, Conoco, and John R. Thompson Architects provided the opportunity to work closely with the designers and the builders, in a corporate environment, with sophisticated CAD and data management systems. In contrast, John started in Brown & Root’s Architecture department, with graphite on vellum, updating drawings.
As Construction Manager for Zarinkelk Engineering and The Maddox Group, John represented the owner’s interests, and worked closely with the contractors and various governmental agencies to provide the best solutions for the “opportunities†presented by the project.
John’s attention to detail served him well as inspector for Everman Precast Concrete, as manufacturer’s rep for W.R. Grace Roofing Systems, and as inspector for The Maddox Group at Bush Intercontinental Airport, where he qualified for the HAS Security Badge. He also qualified for the HAS Badge with HOK.
Experience as Facility Manager for The John Cooper School renewed awareness and appreciation of the educational environment, as well as long-term operations and maintenance issues.
The combined positions have provided John with a thorough understanding of the construction process, from concept, to design, to construction, and to close out. John has worked on major and small projects in a structured team environment, as well as with governmental agencies. John has represented the owner in many projects, and accepts each new responsibility with the highest level of professionalism.
John received his Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A & M University, College of Architecture, and continued his studies in the Master’s program in Construction Management. John has a reputation for being very thorough, with outstanding people skills.
