Wrote, bid and negotiated trade contracts for the plumbing, fire protection, mechanical, HVAC controls, underground utilities, and electrical contractors. - Supervision of plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, and electrical engineering design for 4 and 5 star multi-million dollar resort hotels, hotels, and office buildings. Developed and managed design budgets and created schedules to adhere to design and construction budgets for the Westin Hotel in Savannah; Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Jamaica; and IRS Service Center, Chamblee.
- Managed and simultaneous execution of several projects, with extensive plumbing and mechanical piping worth over $10M, at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Managed and tracked contractor coordination with all airport agencies especially the end-user; oversight of the budget and schedule; estimation of and execution of change orders; tracking of submittals and RFIs; and managing of owner testing and inspection agency.
- Oversight of engineer design and construction for $148M warehouse construction program in Southwest Asia, with on site mess, sewage treatment, and power facilities. Managed budgets and schedules to adhere to congressional mandated dollar limitations and schedules.
- Responsible to write, bid, negotiate trade contracts for the $6M addition and renovation to the Southwest Family YMCA. Managed budget, construction schedule, managed coordination among contractors; developed estimates for and execution of change orders; tracking of contract drawings, submittals, and RFIs.
PLANNING AND ORGANIZING SKILLS
- Developed, implemented, and managed, one-year training plan for four separate university schedules with 220 students and coordinated the schedule such that all students could attend all events.
- Devised and implemented database to assign and track project status, manpower, equipment, and material use, and budgets executed by subordinate firms along the 2200-mile southern border of the United States.
- Headed and directed 125 person engineering unit with $4.5M worth of equipment. Developed project materials list, schedules, and estimated cost to ensure completion of training ranges, a climbing tower, and several other small construction projects on schedule and within budget. Planned, organized, and conducted individual and unit training; managed training resources and managed equipment maintenance.
