Jeff Richards draws from a wealth of land planning, design, and construction experience, having worked as a town planner, landscape architect, builder, and community advocate. Mr. Richards has extensive professional experience with landscape projects of various scales – from intimate private gardens, to open space subdivisions and retirement communities, to multi-town bike paths and State Park development. He is responsible for concept formulation, site analysis, feasibility evaluation, design development, planting design, public presentation, permitting, and construction administration for projects serving commercial, institutional, public sector, non-profit, and residential clients. Mr. Richards assists towns in crafting new zoning aimed to encourage sustainable land uses, such as transit-oriented villages and cluster housing. His experience includes work in regenerative design and the application of Smart Growth, LEED, and Low Impact Development principles, having completed built projects that feature brown-field reclamation, environmental education facilities, native plantings, green roofs, public parks, trails, and community-supported agriculture.
