Have worked for a prominent contractor for the past 6 years as an estimator/project manager.
Duties include:
· Review proposal specifications,
plans, and existing site
conditions to determine scope of
work
· Responsible for preparing bid
documents and estimates by
calculating take-offs,
coordination of subcontractors
and vendors scope of work,
pre-bid schedule of work with
time required to perform
contract, etc.
· Interface with owners,
engineers, vendors, and other
contractors regarding
feasibility and cost data
· Follow through by preparing
budgets, subcontracts, PO's &
preliminary project schedules
· Project management by estimating
cost of change orders, procuring
materials, and budget & bid
responsibility
· Projects included highway and
street improvements for state
and local agencies and privately
owned.
