EXPERIENCE
2006 – 2009 Project Manager- GreenCrest Contracting, Inc.
ï¶ GreenCrest Contracting is a general contractor that specializes in hospital, medical, scientific and commercial construction.
ï¶ Responsible for the successful execution of projects through direct supervision of superintendents, project engineers and administrative assistants.
ï¶ Responsible for projects from purchasing phase until final completion.
ï¶ Estimating, scheduling, contract negations between owners, construction managers and subcontractors.
ï¶ Develop execution plan for each project with the project team.
ï¶ Perform monthly review and risk analysis of project job costs with owner.
ï¶ Prepare schedule of values for each project per AIA contract.
ï¶ Monthly billing of projects to ensure positive cash flow.
ï¶ Attend weekly meetings on site with owners, construction managers, architects, superintendent and clients.
ï¶ In 2007 completed a 1 million dollar Infrastructure project at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.
ï¶ In 2008 completed a 4 million dollar contract at Civista Medical Center in LaPlata, MD.
ï¶ In 2009 I was working on a 3.5 million dollar project at Coppin State University in Baltimore, MD.
1998 – 2006 Project Manager- Polinger Shannon & Luchs Co.
ï¶ Polinger Shannon & Luchs is a Property Management firm with a contracting background that specializes in commercial tenant interior work and building exterior renovation.
ï¶ Responsible for the successful completion of over 750,000 sf. of commercial tenant construction during my 8 years with Polinger Shannon & Luchs Co.
ï¶ Completed the 3 million dollar exterior renovation of Van Ness Center in Washington, DC,
ï¶ Directly responsible for supervision of 4 superintendents and numerous labor level employees.
ï¶ Handled multiple projects throughout the Washington Metropolitan area.
ï¶ Responsible for estimating, creating schedules, preparing submittals, submittal logs, RFI’s, transmittals and AIA contracts.
ï¶ Excellent working knowledge of the various construction trades with numerous contacts throughout the industry.
1994 – 1998 Project Manager- Impressions Marketing Group
ï¶ Impressions is the largest store fixture manufacturer firm in the United States. Impressions specializes in store fixtures for retail store chains nationwide. I worked on several retail accounts including: CVS, Trak Auto, Crown Books, Safeway, Giant Food, Magruders and numerous smaller accounts.
ï¶ In this position I maintained 6 retail accounts with gross annual sales of 1.5 million dollars.
ï¶ Estimating fixtures and components per store layout.
ï¶ Scheduling store openings with operations in the shop to ensure the inventory or products met the demand per store.
ï¶ Designed store fixtures to insure proper fit and placement within each store.
ï¶ Cost control / budgeting for each account to insure the company was profiting per account.
ï¶ Quality control in the shop and in each store during and after the fixtures was installed in each store.
ï¶ Supervised inventory within the warehouse which stored finished store fixtures to ensure enough products was on hand for the quantity of store openings.
1988 – 1994 Small Business Owner- El Dorado Industry
ï¶ El Dorado Industry was a small custom cabinetmaking and millwork shop. We fabricated one of a kind Architectural millwork for commercial and residential customers.
ï¶ Employed 6 people and directly supervised field survey, fabrication, finishing and installation of custom millwork items.
ï¶ Responsible for marketing and maintaining a growing business through a hard economic time.
ï¶ Estimating projects to ensure profit margin without sacrificing quality.
1984 – 1988 Superintendent- Remington Woodworking
ï¶ Remington Woodworking was a production and custom cabinetmaking and millwork shop.
ï¶ Supervised 35 employees including cabinetmakers, installers and helpers.
ï¶ Responsible for hiring/ firing/ promotion/ of personnel.
ï¶ Conduct annual performance reviews for the personnel assigned and provided salary increases/ promotions/ bonus input to owners.
ï¶ Estimating projects and provided take-offs for quantities of material for the construction of millwork items.
ï¶ Purchased material and negotiated prices with suppliers and vendors to maximize profit.

ï¶ Senior High school teacher of Drafting and Architectural design, Metal working and Wood working.
