Kings Cross Channel Tunnel Rail Link – Deputy SQ and E Manager for the Kings Cross Channel Tunnel Rail link. Responsible for the production of the Emergency Evacuation Plan for the Kings Cross Terminal. Further responsibilities were to ensure that principal contractor and all sub-contractors adhered to security and health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with the LUL required standards as laid down in the QUENSH contract and the CDM Regulations. Further employed in the preparation of Category 3 Safety Case Papers and updating Infraco/SSL Safety Procedures. Managing a team of six safety engineers and day-to-day liaison with contractors and site inspectors.
Oil and Gas Pipeline Construction – Additional works included carrying out a Security and Safety Audit of the Oil and Gas Pipeline Construction based on the Isle of Man and reviewing security of Pulrose Power Stations, producing written and verbal reports for both tasks. This task involved advising the Manx Electricity Board senior management on the production of a workable and cost effective Security, Emergency and Evacuation Policy, Procedures and Implementation Plan
Boeing Services Corporation – Working in a High Security base location and responsible for implementing and completing the Health and Safety file in line with the CDM Regulations 2001 for the completion of a construction task on behalf of Boeing Services Corporation and assisting in the preparation of the pre-tender Construction Health and Safety Plan for additional projects. Client Safety Representative for Boeing Services Corporation. Control of the H&S Plan for the demolition and refurbishment of secure buildings - Including chairing monthly safety meetings, actioning points raised and producing written reports to the Project Manager and client. Manx Electricity Authority – Develop and prepare a Strategic Safety and Security Plan for the Manx Electricity Authority (MEA) for a newly constructed gas pipeline and power generation facilities. The main features of this work was the identification of the threats and vulnerabilities to the power station, sub-stations and company related buildings based on the Isle of Man. The follow on work was advising the MEA on a cost effective Risk Management Strategy Plan for the implementation of a Security Process for the post construction phase of the build, this also included advising the senior management in the preparation of the emergency and evacuation plans.
