Objective:

Qualifications:
Fifteen years experience in design/build of commercial interiors projects as an independent contractor. Four years of being a working superintendent for fuel system related building contractor. The last four years as a general site superintendent for contractors needing a traveling supervisor for building commercial retail restaurants and retail outlets. I am able to read all types of blueprints and relate them to construction. I have produced floor plans using a cad-based program for over fifteen years at the beginning of my career. I have five years in standards compliance and housing inspections for a local government agency. Of the approximate fifty stores I have built for franchisees, three of them were award winning. Retail types of construction include laundries, beauty salons, restaurants and convenience stores. Semi-skilled in operating backhoes, skiploaders and trenchers for site work.

Traditional duties of lay-out, supervision of all sub-contractors, selecting some local contractors, cost-reductions, management of change orders and back charges, etc. Store sizes have ranged from 4,500 to 7,000 square feet. Have traveled from Atlanta, Georgia to seven different states. Presently employed with above contracting company.

Building a 17,000 square foot Wild Wing Cafe in Savannah, Georgia. Obtaining permits, materials and temporary labor and selection of sub-contractors for MEPs and locally related work. Supervision of all work both exterior and interior on an approximately 125-year-old brick building in downtown Savannah. Vinyl/rubber flooring on all kitchen and food storage areas; installing both drywall and suspended ceilings; wood framing and tongue-and-groove paneling on all seating area walls; installation of two hood systems with fire suppressant systems; seven different air handling systems with dehumidifier; coordination with landlord, city and county inspectors and final completion and start-up.

Meeting deadlines from corporate and company. Approving draws and purchasing materials for job. Contractor is major builder of Panera Bread Cafes. Bonuses attached to deadline, budget and percentage of savings.

Researched materials, priced for bid proposals all areas of contracting and sub-contracting. Supervised or acted as foreman (for two of three contracts). Built stores and supervised all labor from excavation to final inspections.
October, 1995- November 2000 - Housing Inspector for Decatur, and DeKalb Housing Authorities. Responsibilities included production of computer-assisted drawings for building or remodeling apartment interiors, spearheading research and contract writing for new HVAC use of water heaters in central heating throughout all housing projects. Contract writing and compliance of all yearly contracts involving contractors. Yearly inspections of all residential apartments (over seven hundred in first year).
