Senior Project Superintendent
As a Senior Supervisor with Shimizu North America, I have managed several projects nationwide. The latest
being the construction of the Kaneka Texas MSA Polymers Factory. This project was valued at $110 million and employed over 200 workers at one time. I was in charge of all crafts on site from groundbreaking to turn over including: geotechnical works and reports, surveyors, civil subcontractors, concrete contractors ( including rebar installation), structural steel fabrication and erection from fab shop to installation at jobsite, piping fabrication and installation all mechanical works, carpenters and finish workers and painters on a daily basis as well as
managment skills that include the following:
Ensure that project safety rules and regulations were followed to maintain a safe working enviroment.
Manage staff, including: establishing and communicating performance expectations, providing positive and
constructive feedback, developing training and technical needs and conducting on-site training to
employees to ensure quality standards are exceeded. Conduct performance reviews and oversee discipline and/or termination decisions.
Review estimates with attention to: adherence to cost control, equipment requirements and utilization,
constructability, materials, and manpower.
Manage orderly transition of projects from estimating in the office to start-up in field. This includes project
review meetings, review and approval of contract requirements, schedule requirement reviews, overall budget review and planning, interviewing and prequalification of subcontractors, and approving purchase order agreements.
Coordinate the means and methods required for a successful and profitable execution of the work. Reviews
and monitors manpower, equipment and material resources to accomplish this goal.
Analyzes and approve CPM schedules monthly. Ensure that all sub-contractors and field personnel are in
tune with schedules. Pay extremely close attention to any problems or potential delays in schedule and provide appropriate solutions.
Prepare all daily reports for documentation and generate weekly progress reports for submission to
engineering and executive review.
Reviews and executes all change orders, provides schedule impact analysis and reports any impact of cost
or delay to superiors.
Reviews and manages any and all changes to procurement schedule, including generating any
documentation needed for change orders or cost impacts.
Works closely with the administration department to ensure all jobsite billings are recieved in a timely
manner, and manage the overall payment schedule of sub- contractors.
Completes all close-out requirements and punch list in timely manner. Handles warranty callbacks quickly and professionally to ensure satisfaction and maintain owner/client relationship.
Provide feedback to executive department for use in future projects.
1/2001 - 4/2004 Dresser-Rand Houston, TX
Field Services Supervisor
During my employment with Dresser-Rand, I was in direct charge of crews specializing in retrofitting and or repairing rotating equipment. My area of representation included steam and gas turbine generator sets to 200 megawatt. and reciprocating compressors. My direct responsibilities included the following:
Interview and hire qualified technicians
Ensure that all equipment was installed exactly to manufacturers specifications
Layout and document all measurements for turn over to client
Maintain that strict step by step proceedures were followed and train employees as needed to guarantee
quality standards were met.

Mechanical Superintendent
My experience with Daifuku was extremely positive for my career. I was first hired as a General Foreman and was quickly promoted. During my employment I was in charge of new mechanical construction projects in the automotive industry. Some of the larger clients I was involved with included: Honda, Mitsubishi, Subaru,
General Motors, and the Ford Motor Co. The projects included the installation of state of the art conveyor systems and the installation of robotic equipment.
