I serve in both the program management and owner representative roles for a capital assets planning and management firm in Birmingham, AL. In the construction manager role I set and track project deliverables, chair project meetings and hold both the design and construction resources of projects accountable to deliver on time and within budget. As on owner representative I oversee the project schedule and budget, coordinate RFP development, manage the vendor/contract process and participate in monthly presentations to the owner(s) Board of Directors.

I served as a construction and technology program manager in the in tier one international airport market managing cross functional teams in the implementation of multi million dollar parking and revenue control systems. I simultaneously managed construction efforts at sites across the country fulfilling both customer facing and corporate leadership roles. My duties included developing and leading contract bid teams, managing installation, development and testing resources and program reporting from team level to the customer’s executive levels. In March of 2008 Federal Signal made a strategic decision to cut positions across the entire organization. Various executive, project management and satellite positions were eliminated.
Major Projects Include:
• Tampa International Airport – An automated and manned revenue control system for Tampa’s new 5,600 space parking facility located off site from the international airport. The system included two manned control point plazas, dynamic signage for space availability, Credit Card In–Out System and self-serve payment kiosks. Project cost: $1.3 Million.
• Tampa International Airport – Sun Pass electronic parking fee collection enabling users of the FDOT toll collection system to seamlessly flow in and out of the airport’s long and short term parking facilities. Project cost: $1 Million.
• Dallas Fort Worth International Airport – Complete system and equipment upgrade of 126 parking control points. The system spanned over five miles of the airport property including 50 entry and exit lanes offering Credit Card In-Out, fiber optic communication to the main and remote parking control centers, state of the art Onyx control application, optical license plate character recognition and new dynamic gantry signage. Project cost: $19 Million.
• Port Authority New York / New Jersey – Consolidation and replacement of parking and revenue control systems at JFK International Airport, LaGuardia Airport and Newark Liberty Airport. Project cost: $45 Million.
• Detroit Municipal Cobo Conference-Exhibition Center – Revenue control system for downtown municipal and event parking including the Detroit Super Bowl XL and the yearly Detroit International Auto Show. The system spanned three downtown, multi-story parking facilities utilizing both in-door and out-door manned control points. Project cost: $93k
• Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital Campus – Implementation and subsequent consolidation of Phase I and Phase II parking facilities within the hospital campus. Project cost: $450k
• City of Riverside California Municipal Parking – Revenue control system and equipment replacement to integrate on-street and municipal garage parking. Newly installed electronic street parking meters and multiple parking facilities utilized fiber optic communication to a central municipal parking control center. Project cost: $560K

I co-managed the technology and low voltage division of a major electrical contractor in south east Michigan with a focus on communications construction in the military, educational and retail markets. As the Program Manager I was responsible for bidding and contract award, management of the solutions engineering, material procurement, maintaining schedules at multiple construction sites, program profit and loss, installation and commissioning resources and customer and organizational program reporting. Labelle was forced to close their low voltage division in early 2006.

I served as a Program Manager to re-engineer a core dealer database utilized throughout the divisions of General Motors. Program objectives were to reduce/eliminate operational costs, improve functionality and enable for expandability. Primary role responsibilities were information gathering for the development of database models with supporting use case data and implement system requirements gathering. Additionally, my role provided analysis for individual project tracking, presentation to the executive division management, vendor management and participation in strategic planning.

I assisted in launching a newly formed Program Management Office for the Technology Division of a large utility company, fulfilling the roles of Project Manager, Process Mentor and Quality and Earned Value Analyst. Projects support strategic and regulatory goals pursuant to nuclear generation technology, training and Information Systems. I was responsible for the management of all phases of project life cycles including: planning of Work Break Down structures, analysis and reporting of project Earned Value, process adherence, quality analysis, conflict resolution and providing project close out documentation.

I began as a CAD operator for a large systems integration firm that designed, commissioned and managed structured cabling communication systems in new construction. I later became a project coordinator where my ambition and skills eventually led me into studying structured methodology where I became certified as a project manager. Clover Technologies went out of business in early 2002.
