I.P.R. February 2008-present
IPR provides a specialized service to Owners during large capital construction projects in the Steel and Power industries. As part of the management team, IPR facilities the initial project baseline continuing with aggressive management of the entire project control execution process. My projects include Longview Power in West Virginia and SeverStal Pickle Line/Tandem Cold Mill in Dearborn, MI. Responsibilities: Costing, Schedule, Procurement.
Barton Malow Company, September 06 – July 2007
As on-site construction manager for Morton Salt’s MACT Project in Rittman, Ohio. Emissions compliance $12 million project included Baghouse, 400 hp fans, 3 silos and mechanical installations. Duties included coordination between designer, various suppliers of equipment, contractors and Owner’s continuous production. Challenges of project included retrofit to 125 year old facility and 7 month construction schedule.

As Senior Project Engineer representing WA in a tri-venture for the City Detroit at the Detroit Wastewater Treatment Plant on a design/build team for a $100 million project to install instrumentation controls on complete operations at the Plant as Superintendent 1) built control centers 2) responsible for $22 million. Electrical and instrumentation installation. Superintendent at Detroit Waste Water Treatment Plant for $11 million Primary Tank Renovation.

As independent contractor, was consultant to 1)several non-profit housing groups in Detroit on an eight month contract 2) several Detroit Banks on feasibility studies of construction projects for their potential loan involvement 3) subsequent monthly inspections for Banks 4) Field inspection for a private engine test facility and office building.

As a Project Engineer at the Chrysler Technology Center in Auburn Hills directed the design, the manufacturing and the installation of sixteen chassis dynamometers and various equipment for various automotive test cells in the Scientific Test Facility.

As Finish Superintendent took 500 condominiums from drywall to completion. Each valued at $175,000-$350,000. Finished commercial space to meet tenant’s specialized office, laboratory and warehouse needs.
