The project entailed the construction of a new 15,000 sq. ft. masonry/steel frame building (Building 11) to house new offices, research labs and shop with required mechanical, electrical and telecom support spaces. In addition, the Central Plant for the State Water Survey was upgraded. This Central Plant serves systems in building numbers 1-6, as well as the new building 11. This upgrade included new boilers, new condensing units, pumps, hot water systems and electrical switchgear, panels and fire alarm systems.
