Summary of Qualifications
My construction history is extensive. I have skills in all aspects of commercial and residential building including: land acquisition, lot development, City and County interface including planning and building, sales and marketing, client interaction, architectural design, construction documents, value engineering, timelines, subcontractor acquisition, subcontractor negotiations, demolition, bidding, materials acquisition, hands on production, superintending, high end finish production, interior design, and landscaping. I have built commercial projects including hotel properties, country clubs and automobile dealerships. I have a proven ability to work with clients from start to completion. I am a creative problem solver. I have a proven ability to manage clients, employees, and multi million dollar projects.
I am proficient in, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite. Daily software tools include Sketch Up, AutoCAD, and Quickbooks Pro.
I held a B1 license in California from 1977 to 1992. I currently hold a C Building License #15457 in El Paso County, Colorado, and Teller County, Colorado. I was licensed in Park County Colorado for several years. I was a Preferred Contractor for the Allstate Insurance Disaster Team (Santa Barbara Fire 1991).

Project Manager
I am currently employed by Art Klein. The position includes numerous commercial projects ranging from $2.7M remodels to $7M automobile dealerships. This includes budgets, client negotiations, contract writing, and assisting with design and value engineering of these projects. Along with these commercial projects I was the designated “Residential†PM for the firm. I worked with clients on numerous remodel projects, that this firm is well noted for, and bid several large residences. The Higgins Residence (also commercial space) at $2.8M and The Patel Residence at $3.9M. My ongoing responsibilities would have been to see all these projects through to their completion utilizing multiple superintendents. Unfortunately the economy has put over $38M in current Contracts on hold and the company is keeping the essential employees at part time until projects break loose.

Construction Manager
This position included remodeling of numerous commercial sites at this prestigious Country Club with a dollar value of approximately $10M. This includes complete budgets, selecting and writing Contracts for architects and engineers, subcontractors and material men. My duties included managing several major projects in two country clubs, and, construction of a New Sales and Design Center for their homebuilding project about to begin. I participated in design review of their new residential product line with architects and in house committees, and assisted the purchasing agent with selection of subcontractors and materials.

This firm specialized in luxury residential design and construction. In the early years we built residences starting at about $600,000. By the end of 2007 the last projects were exceeding $4M. I was responsible for all client relations and sales, architectural design and Project Management. At one time I had four employees and office space in downtown Colorado Springs. As the economy began its downturn, this niche market was hit very hard and the business was closed. During this time I built homes all over El Paso County and built 27 homes in The Broadmoor Resort Community in Colorado Springs. My brochure for this Company is available upon request.
In early 2007 I assisted Patterson Construction in Colorado Springs, as a Project Manager, building an automobile showroom for McClosky Motors. The owners changed major features of this design from precast concrete to all steel construction. I worked closely with the architect and engineers to develop specific new details “on the flyâ€, developing as built drawings and getting final approval from Regional Building.

I built numerous small commercial and tenant improvement projects along with residences of various price points. I designed and drafted several hundred custom residences, speculated an 8 home subdivision in Santa Maria, California, and developed small residential developments in Santa Cruz, California.
In 1987-89 I built The Carousel Motel and The Riverside Garden Inn, a hotel on the beach in Santa Cruz, California. I also built 2121 41st Ave., a three story commercial mall for Lee Chang in Santa Cruz, California. Various tenant improvements for Stewart Title in Santa Maria, California.
In 1991 I worked directly with Allstate Insurance for 6 mo. as a Preferred Contractor in Santa Barbara, California. The Santa Barbara Fire burned over 4,000 homes. My job was to work with clients to ascertain what their destroyed homes consisted of and set values to it. I also built three custom homes for fire victims.
